6 Lt.Colonel Gloster served in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inker-
man, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with threeClasps, andUrevet Major). Servi-d the Indian campaign of
1857-58, and was dangerously wounded at the capture of Luckniiw (Brevet of Ll.Coloni'l, Medal and Clasp).
8 Major Vance served at the siege of Sebastopol from Jan. to the end of April 1855 (Medal and Clasp, and
Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaign, and was present at the storm and capture of Sfeeangunge»
siege and capture of Lucknow, affairs of Barrec and Nuggur (Brevet of Major, Medal and Clasp).
9 Captain Craster served in the Eastern campaign of 1834, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman,
and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and three Clasps).
10 Major Hon. C. J. Addington served the Eastern campaign of 1854 and up to 26th June IS55, includingf
the battles of Alma and Inkerman, siege of Sebastopol, attack and occupation of the Cemetery on the 18th
June—severely wounded (Medal and three Clasps, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).
U Captain Gaynor served the Eastern campaign of 1854 and until 25th Feb. 1855, including the battles of
Alma and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol, and was shot through the leg in the trenches on 21st Feb.
(Jledal and three Clasps, and Sardinian Medal).
12 Captain Elles served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol in 1854-55, including the attack and occupation
of the Cemetery on the 18th June (Medal and Clasp, and Knight of the Legion of Honor).
13 Captain Thackwell served with the 39th Regt. in the Crimea from 3Ist Dec. 1854, including the siege
and fall of Sebastopol, and attacks of the 18th June and 8th September (Medal and Clasp, and 5th Class
of the Medjidie}.
14 Major Walton served with the 53rd Regt. in the Punjaub campaign in 1849 and was present at the
battle of Goojerat (Medal and Clasp). With the expedition against the Hill Tribes on the Pcshawur frontier
in 185152. Campaign in India in 1857, including the relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde, and was severely
wounded at the storming of the Secunderbagh (mentioned in despatches, Medal and Clasp, and Brevet Mitjor).
17 Captain Boyle served with the 38th Regt. throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the
battles of Alma (carried the colours) and Balaklava, siege and fall of Sebastopol, attack and occupation of
the Cemetery on the 18th June (Medal and three Clasps).
21 Lieuts' Snell and Stansfeld served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from Ist June 1855, including the
attack and occupation of the Cemetery on the 18th June (Medal and Clasp).
22 Lieut. Eyre served in the Eastern campaign from 10th Nov. 1854 to 10th May 1855, including the siege
of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp).
23 Lieut. Ewen served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 13th Jan. 1855, including the attack and
occupation of the Cemetery on the 18th June (Medal and Clasp, and Sardinian Medal).
25 Lieut. Mayo served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 29th Aug. 1855 (Medal and Clasp).

28 Lieut. Caldecott served in the Crimea from 7th Sept. 1855, and was at the fall of Sebastopol (Medal and

30 Surgeon Wall served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from igth Dec. 1854, and at the attack of the

32 Assist.Surgeon Lewis served throughout the Eastern campaign of 18.';4-55, including the battles of Alma
and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol, attack and occupation of the Cemetery (Medal and three Clasps).

9 Captain Milligan and Lieut. Smyth served at the siege and fall of Subastopol in 1855, and at the
attacks on the 18th June and 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasps, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).
10 Captain Turner served with the 7flth Highlanders throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, in¬
cluding the battles of Alma and Balaklava, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and assault of the 8th Septem¬
ber (Medal and three Clasps). Also in the Indian campaign and present at the siege and capture of
Lucknow in March 1858 (.\ledal and Clasp).
11 Major Snodgrass landed with the army at Old Fort, 14th Sept. 1854, as Aide de Camp to Major General
Sir John Campbell, and was present at the battles of Alma and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol, expe¬
dition to Kertch, and assault on the Redan 18ih June (severely wounded); present with the 38th Regt. at
the close of the campaign (Medal and three Clasps, Brevet Major, Sardinian Medal, and 5th Class of the
Medjidie). Served also with the 38th Regt. in the Indian campaign of 1857-58, and was present in several
engagements and at the siege and capture of Lucknow (Medal and Clasp).
12 Captain Bennett served at the siege and fall of Sebasiopol in 1855, including the atlacks of the 18tli
June and 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasp, and Sardinian Medal).
13 Licuts. Stokes and Murray served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol in 18.55 (Medal and Clasp).
14 Lieut. Newport served at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp).
15 Captain Benison was present at that lamentable catastrophe the burning of the A'cn*East Indiaman
in the Bay of Biscay, on the 1st March 1«26. He served with the 31st Regt. throughout the campaign of
1842 in Afghanistan (Mtdal) under Major- General Pollock, including the actions of Mazeena, Tezeen, and
Jugdulluck, the occupation of Cabool, and the dift'erent engagements leading to it. He served also the cam¬
paign on the Sutlej, and was present in the battles of Moodkee, Ferozesbah, Buddiwal, Aliwal, and Sobraon,
and WHS one of only five officers who escaped being wounded (Medal and three Clasps). Served wilh the
39ih Regt. in the Crimea from «th Dec. 1854 to 30tli April 1856, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol
(Medal and Clasp).
16 Assist.S'jrgeon Ross served at tlie siege and fall of Sebastopol in 1835, and at the attack on the
18th June (Medal and Clasp).
17 Lieuts. Haper, Palmer, and Gosselin served in 1855 at the siege and fall of Sebastopol, and final
assault on the 8tli Sept, (Medal and Clasp).
IS Lieut. Lynam served in the Indian campaign of 18.j7-58, and was at the Mutiny at Diiiapore, capture of
Atiowleca, advance to Lucknow and actions at Ciianda, Uincer])ore, Snltanpore, and Douraha, siege aud cap¬
ture of Lucknow, relief of Azimgliur, and operations near Jugdespore (Medal).
20 Lieut. Sharpies was present at the battle of Maharajpoie 29(h Dec. 1813 (Medal): he served also at
the siege and fall of Sebastopol in 1855, including attacks on the 18th June and 8th Sept. (Medal and
