column of Colonel Kelly's foice at the defeat of the rebels under Bala Rao near Bootvvul on the Nepaul frontier (twice
mentioned in despatches, l\Iedal and Clasp, and CB,),
4 Lt.Colouel Gwilt served at the siege ol Sebiistopol from 9th Dec. 1851 to 18th July 1855, was present at the capture of
the Rifle Pils on the 19th April, and commanded the iilth Regt. ut the assault on the Redan on the 18th June—severely
wounded (.lledal and Clasp, Brevets of Major and Lt.Col., Knight of the Legion of Honor, 5tli Class of the Medjidie, and
Turkish Medal). Served in the Indian campaigns of 1857-59, including the actions at Cawnpore on 26th 27th and 28th
Nov. 18.37, capture of Meeangunge, siege and capture ol Lucknow, defeat of the rebels under Bala Rao near Bootwul on
the Nepaul fron'ier (mentioned in despatches, IVIedal and Clasp),
5 Major Maxwell served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1851-65, and was severely wounded by the bursting of a shell in
the trenches, 25th May (Medal and Clasp, Brevet Major. 5th Class of the Jledjidie, and Turkish Medal). Served in the
Indian campaigns in iS57-.5'.l, includii.g the actions at Cawnpore on 26ih 37tli and 28th (wounded) Nov. 1857, siege and
capture of Luiknow, relief or Aziinghur, and defeat of the rebels at Bootwul (mentioned in despatches. Medal and Clasp).
G Major Joidan served at the siege of Sebastopol from Fob. to 9th July i8.'i5, including sortie of the 22nd March,
capture of the Rifle Pits 19th April, sortie of 9th May, and assault of the Kedan on the 18th June—severely wounded
(Medal and Clasps, Brevet Major, Sardinian Medal, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Served in the Indian
campaign, including the actions at Cawnpore on 2l)th 27th and 38th (wounded) Nov. 1857 (Medal).
7 Major Cassidy was present at the actions at Cawnpore on 2Cth 27th and 28th (wounded) Nov. 1857 (Brevet of Major
Medal).
8 Captain Steuart was present in the actions at Cawnpore on 26th 27th and 28th (wounded) Nov. 1857 (Medal).
9 Captain Puget served with the 34th Regt. at the siege of Sebastopol in 1854-55 (Medal and Clasp and Turkish Medal).

capture of Bleeangunge, siege and capture of Lucknow (Medal and Cla^p).

l8th June and 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasp, Sardinian Medal, 6th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Served in the
Indian campaigns in 1857-59, including the actions at Cawnpore on 26th 27th and 28th Nov. 1857, capture of Meeangunge,
siege and capture of Lucknow, relief of Azimghur, and defeat of the rebels at Bootwul (fliedal and Clasp).
14 Captain Moore served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 10th Aug. 1855 and assault of the Redan on 8th Sept.
(Medal and Clasp and Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaigns in ls57-.')9, including the actions at Cawnpore on
26th 27th and 28th Nov. ISO", capture of Meeangunge, siege and capture of Lucknow, and defeat of the rebels at Bootwul
(Medal and Clasp).
15 Captain Saunders served at the siege of Sebastopol from Feb. to 9th July 1855, and was severely wounded at the
capture of the Quarries on the 7th June (Medal and Clasp and Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaign in 1857-
58, including the actions at Cawnpore on 26th 27th and 28th Nov. 1857, siege and capture of Lucknow, and relief of
Azimghur (Medal and Clasp).
16 Captain Nedham served in the 10th Regt. the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9, including the whole of the siege opera¬
tions before Mooltan, affair of Uth Sept., storming of the .enemy's strongly-entrenched position, capture of the Dowlat
Gate, action of Soorjkoond, and surrender of the fortress : afterwards present at the battle of Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
Served with the 34th Regt. at the defeat of the rebels near Boutwul on the Nepaul fr-ontier on 28th March 1859 (Meiial).
17 Captain Peel served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from Feb. 1855, and was wounded at the assault of the Redan
on the Ibth June (Medal and Clasp, Sardinian and Turkish Medals). .41so in the Indian campaign in 1857-.58, including
the actions at Cawnpote on 26ih 27th and 28th Nov. 1857, capture of Meeangunge, siege aud capture of Lucknow, and
relief of Azimghur (Medal and Clasp).
18 Lieut. Wyse served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 9th Dec. 1854, including sortie of 21st Dec. 64, assaults
ef the Redan on the 18th June and 8th Sept., and was contused when in charge of Rifle Pits on 25th July 55 (Medal and
Clasp, 5th Class of the Merijidie, and Turkish Medal).
19 Lieut. Cochrane served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1854-55 (Medal and Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and
Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaigns in 1857-59, including- the actions at Cawnpoi-e on 26th 27th and 28th Nov.
1857, capture of Meeangunge, siege and capture of Lucknow, relief of Azimghur, and staff oBBcer to Colonel Kelly's

20 Lieut. Dunbar served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 12th July 1855 and assault of the Redan on the 8th
Sept. (Medal and Clasp and Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaigns in 1867-59, including the actions at Cawnpore
on 26th 27th and 28th Nov. 1857, siege and capture of Lucknow, relief of Azimghur, defeat of the rebels at Bootwul and
affair at Bhowanie (Medal and Clasp).
21 Lieut. Holroyd served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 10th Aug. 1855 and assault of the Redan on the 8th
Sept. (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaigns in 1857-59, including the actions at
Cawnpore on 26ih 27th and 28th (wounded) Nov. 1857, capture of Meeangunge, siege and capture of Lucknow, relief of
Azimghur (was staff officer to the Azimghur column in the winter of 1858-59), and defeat of the rebels at Bootwul (Medal

22 Lieut. Lampen served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol in 1855 and assault of the Redan on the 8th Sept. (Medal
and Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaigns in 1857-69, including the actions at Cawnpore on 26th 27th

24 Lieut. Laurie served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 10th Aug. 1855, and was severely wounded at the assault
of the Redan on the 8th Sept,, was also wounded on a former occasion (Medal and Clasp and Turkish Medal). Also in
the Indian campaigns in 1858-59, including the capture of Meeangunge, siege and captui-e of Lucknow, relief of Aziinghur,
defeat of the rebels at Bootvvul, and afl'air at Bhowanie (Medal and Clasp).
25 Lieut. R. J. P. Leeson seived at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 29th July 1855 and assault of the Redan ou
the 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasp and Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaigns in 1867-59, including the actions at
Cawnpore on 26th 2rth and 28th Nov. 1867, captui-e of Meeangunge, siege aud capture of Lucknovv, relief of Azimghur,
and as Staff Oiiicer to Lt.Col. Simpson's column on the Nt-paul frontier, and present at the defeat of the rebels at
Bootwul (Medal and Clasp).
26 Lieut. Malcidm served in the Indian campaign in 1857-59, including the actions at Cawnpore on 26th 27th and 28th
Nov. 1857, siege and capture of Lucknow, and defeat of the rebels at Booiwul (Medal and Clasp).
27 Lieut. Jordan was present at the art'air at Bhowanie on28lh April 1859 (Medal).
28 Lieut. Walker and Surgeon Manifold were pi'esent at the defeat of the rebels under Bala Rao near Bootwul ou the
