Affglianititan and Bcloochistan under Lord Kcano, and was present at the storm and capture of
Ghuznco (Medal), and of Khelat. Also at the siege of Schastoi)ol from Dec. 1854 to Aug. 1855,
including the assault on the Redan on the 18th June (Medal and Clasp, 5tli Class of the M^idjidie,
and Turkish Medal).
98 Major Dennis served with the 95th Regt. at the siege and fall of Sobaslopol from Slst
Peb. 1S55 (Medal and Clasp, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).
90 Major Duncan Campbell served in tlio 83rJ Regt. during the suppression of the insurrection
in Lower Canada in 1837; also in repulsing the attacks of the American brigands who landed at
I'rescott, Upi)or Canada, in 1838. Served with the 90th Light Inilintry at tlie siege ot Scbastopol
(Medal and Clasp).
100 MajorRobert Watson served the campaigns of 1814 and 15 in Holland and the Netherlands,
including the actions at Jler.xem and bombaidment of Antwerp.
101 JNlijor Meheux served the Eastern campaign with the Brigade of Royal Marines during
the siege of Sebastopol from 1854 to April 1855, inclading the battle of Bdlaklava (Medal and
two Clasps).
102 Major Hume served with the 38th Regt. the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, and was
present at the battle of Alma, siege and fall of Sobastopol, was Aide do Camp to Sir .Tohn
Campbell on the oxpcfiition to Kertch, and assault of the Kedan on the 18th June, in wliich
the Major General was killed; was D.A.A.G. .'Srd Division from July 1855 (Medal and three
Clasps, lirevct Major, Knight of the Legion of Honor, and 5th Class of the Medj:die). Served
jn India with the 38th from 12th Nov. 1857, to 9th August 1858 ; was present at the siege
and capture of Lueknnw, and with Grant's division during the summer campaign in Oude,
including several minor affairs.
103 Major Peel served with the 34th Regt. in the Crimea in 1854-55, including the siege of
Sebastopol and capture of the Quarries—severely wounded (Medal and Clasp, Brevet Major, and
5th Class of tlie Medjidie).
104 Mnjor Elliot served five years in India, the last two on Lord Hardinge's staff, prior to
entering the Rojal Army, and was present with his regiment, the 8th Bengal Cavalrj', at the
battle of Punniar (Meo'al), as also in the Sutlej campaign, including the battle of Ferozeshah
(Medal), Served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 as Aide-de-Camp to General Scarlett,
including the battle of Balaklava (severely wounded) and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and
Clasps, Brevet Major, and Knight of the Legion of Honor).
105 Major JIaxse served the Eustcrn campaign of 1854 as Aido-de-Camp to Ijord Cardigan,
including the battles of Alma and Baldklava (wounded), and siege of Sebajtopol (Medal and
Clasps, and 5th C'ass of the Medjidie).
lOG Major Hugh Kennedy served with the R. M. Battalion in Spain during the Carlist war;
with the Baltic Expedition in 1854 (Medal); and with the Brigade in the Crimea during the
siege of Sebastopol from Feb. 1855 (Medal and Clasp).
107 Major Steward served with the 41st Regt. in the Eastern campaign up to 19th Oct. 1854,
including the battle of Alma, and siege of Sobastopol (Medal and two Clasps, and 5th Class of
the Modjidic).
108 Major Whitmore landed in the Crimea with the 2ud Batt. on 2'2nd April 1855, and was
at the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal ai^d Clasp, Brevet Majcir, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).
110 Major Hans li. White served with the 89th Regt. at the siege and fall of Sebastopo! froca
5th Jan. 1855, and attacks ou the 13lh June and 8!.h Sept. (Medal and Clasp, Brevet JJajor, and
5th Cla.^s of the Medjidie).
Ul Major Hackett served with the 38th Regt. at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 27th
Jan. 1855 (Medaland Clasp, Brevet Major, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).
112 Major Fitzgerald served with the 7th Fusiliers in the Eastern campiign of 1854, up
to Alma, in which battle he was severely wounded. Sliot through both legs (Medal and Clasp,
Brevet Majiir, and 5ili CIhss of the Medjidic).
IIS Major liayman served with the 18th Royal Irish on the China expedition in 1842
(Medal). Accompanied the subsequent expedition under General D'Aguilar, wliich assaulted
and took the Forts of the B'cca Tigris in the Cauttin River, those of the Slaked Barrier, and
of the city of Canton. Served also in the IJurmeso war of 1852-53, including the operations
before Rangoon and capture of Prome (Medal). Served at the siege of Scbastopol from Dee.
1854, and was wc>unHed 18th Juno 1855 (Medal and Clasp, Brevet Major, Knight of the Legion
of Honor, and 5fh Class of the Medjidie).
114 Major Puoock served with the 30th Regt at the siege of Sebastopol, and was severely
vi'ounled at the assault of the Redan on the 8lh Sept. (Medal and Clasp, Brevet Major, and
5th Class of the Mi'djidie).
115 Major F. P. Lv';a served with the 57th Regt. in the Crimea from 15th Nov. 1854 to 3rd July
1855, ineluding the siego of Sobaftoprd and assault of the Redan on the 18th June—severely
woun lid in the right leg and fo .t by grape shot, also previously wounded in the head and face
in the. Trenches (Medal and Cla^p, and 5lh Class of the Medjidie).
116 Major Rowlands served with the 41st Regt, the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including
the battles of Alma and Inkerman (severely wounded), siege of Sebastopol, sortie of 26th Oct.,
