Woosung, and Chinkiangfoo.
8 Major Redmond served throughout the Punjaub campaign of iy48-9, and was present at the passage
ot the Olienab, and in the battles of Sadoolapore, (Miillianwallati, and Goojerat, and with the field force
in pursuit of the enemy to the Khvber Pass in March 1849 (Medal and two Clasps). Expedition into
the Euzofzie country; in action witlt t!ie enemy 11th and 14th Dec. 1849 ; present at t!ie capture and de¬
struction of the insiiru'cnt villages of Sag^row, Pnilee, Zoormundie, and Sheerkanie, on tliose days. Ex¬
pedition to Kohat against the AfTieedie Tribe, 10th, Ilth, 12th, and 13th Feb. 1850, in which he com¬
manded tlie Flank Companies,
10 Capt. Ricliardson served the campaign on theSutlej with the 9th Rcgt., and was present at the battle*
of Moudkee, I'eror.eshah and Sobraon (Medal and two Clasps). Served in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9
with the 61st Regt., and was present at Ramnuggnr and t!ie passage of the Chenah, the battles of Sadoola-
pnre and Chillianwallah, and witli the field force in pursuit of the enemy to the Khyber Pass in March
184!) (Medal and two Clasps).
12 Captain Greig served in the Punjaub campaign of 1813-0 (Medal and Clasp), was present at the passage of the Chenab,
and in the battles of Sailoolapore .and Goojerat, and with the field force in pursuit of the enemy to the Khyber Pass in
-March i849; expedition into the Euzofzie country ; in action with the enemy lllh and 14th Dec, 1849 ; present at the
capture and destruction of the insurtjent villages of Saggow, Piillee, Zoormundie, and Sheerkanee.
14 (Captain Moore served in the Punjaub campaign of I84S-9, and was present at the battle of Goojerat, and with the field
force in pur-nit of the enemy to the Khyber Pass in March 1849 (Medal and Clasp) ; expedition to Kohat against the
Affreedie Tribe 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13tli Feb. ISiO.
15 Lieut. M'Donough served in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9, was present at the passage of the Chenab, and battles
of Chillianwallah (wounded) and Goojerat, and with the field force in pursuit of the enemy to the Khyber P.ass in March
1819 (Medal and two Clasps).
18 Surgeon Stewart served with the 29th Regt. throushout the Punjaub campaign in l84fi-9, including the passage of
the Chenab, ami the battles of ChilUanwallah and Goojerat (Medal jind Clasps).
19 Lieut. lluttt)n served with the *21st Fusiliers during the latter part of 1850. and at the siege and fall of Sebastopol,
and the expedition to Kinbourn (Medal and Clasp).

4t Major Rynd served in the trenches before Sebnstopol from 19th Xlay 185.'i to the end of the siege (Medal

.■) Captain Wilkieson served at the siege of Sebastopol in ]8.5-!-.'33, including the sortie of fith April, and
attack on the Quarries SIh ,lune, and on the Redan 18th ,lune (.Medal and Clasp, and Sardinian Medal).
8 Major Whitniore served in the latter partof the Kathrwar in 1847. Wasin theaction of Boeni Plaats
and defeat of the Insurgent Boers in 1848. Served throughout tiie Kaffir war of 18.51-52, and was present with
the 2nd Division in nearly every affair, including tlie storming of the Iron Mountain. Commanded Sir
Harry Smith's escort from March to Nov. 1851, during which time he was repeatedly employed as a stall'
officer wiih tlie various columns on patrol. Acted as Major of Brigade to the 2nd Division from Nov.
1S51 to Oct. 1852; and as Brigade Major to tlio Cavalry Biigade in tho Expedition under Sir George Cath-
cart, ending in the battle of Berea. He has had two horses sliot under hint in action, and has been repeat¬
edly thanked in Brigade and Division Orders, as well as in the General Orders and Dispatches of Sir H. Smith
and of Sir G. Cathcart (Medal, and Brevet Major).
7 Captain Carter served with the 51st Rcgt. during the war in Burmah from April to August 1852 ; was on
board the E. I. C. steam sloop Scsostris during the naval action and destruction of tlie enemy's stockades
on the Rangoon River, served during the succeeding three days'operations in the vicinity, and at thestoriu
and capture of Rangoon ; also at the assault and capture of Bassein 19th May (severe)y wounded). Was
mentioned in General C-fodwin's Dispatches as •*deserving the best consideration of Government'' for his
services at the capturing by storm the enemy's stronghold and entrenched position soutli of Basseiu,
armed with sixteen guns and twenty gingalls; and honoured with the best thanks of the Governor-General
in Council (Medal).
8 Captains Gwynnc and Gilpin served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1854-53 (Medal and Clasp).
10 Captain Sanderson served tlie Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, including the battles of Ferozeshah and
Sobraon (Jledal and Clasps).
11 Captain Hay served at the siege of Sehastopol in 1834-55, including the attack on the Quarries (Medal
and Clasp).
12 Captain Hunter served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1854-55, including the sortie of 5th May, attack
on the Quarries 8th June, and on the Redan 8th Sept.—wounded (Medal and Clasp, and Knight of the
Legion of Honor).
Vi Captain Clerke served at the siege of Sebastopol from May 1855, including the attack on the Quarries
(Medal and Clasp).
14 Captain Cubitt served at tlie siege of Sebastopol in 1854-55, including the sorties of 0th April and 10th
May, and attack on the Quarries, and of the Redan on 18th June, and was wounded in the trenches on 28th
May (Medal and Clasp).
15 Captain Hughes served at the siege of Sebastopol and taking of the Quarries (Medal and Clasp).
10 Captain Palmer served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1855, and was taken prisoner at the attack on the
Redan on the Sth Sept. (Medal and Clasp).
17 Lieut. Davenport served at the siege of Sehastopol in 1855, and was severely wounded at the attack
on Ihe Redan on the Sth Sept. (Medal and Clasp).
18 Lieut. Milsom served at l!ie sicg(^ of Sei)astopol in 1855, including the attack on the Quarries on Sth
.lune, and on the Redan IStli June and 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasp).
19 Lieut. Dundas served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1855, and at the attack on the Redan on the Sth
Sept. (Medal and Clasp).
20 Paymaster Dring served tho Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, and was wounded at the battle of Ferozeshah
(Medal). Served also at the siege of .Sebastopol in 1855, including sorties of 5th and 10th May, and attack
on the Redan on the Sth Sept, (wounded ; Medal and Clasp),
21 Quarter-Mi;stcr Gamble served the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, including the battles of Ferozeshah
(severely wounded) and Sobraon (Medal and Clasp).
22 Assist.-Sui geon Young served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol in 1854-65 (Medal and Clasp).
