1 Sir William Codrington commanded a Brigade of the Light Division, and afterwards a Division
throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman, siege and fall
of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasps, if CiJ., Commander of the Legion of Honor, and Grand Cross of the
Military Order of Savoy). From October 1865, and until the evacuation of the Crimea, he was Coip-
niander-in-Chief of the Eastern Army.
3 Captain Probart served with the 95th Regt. at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 24th Nov. 1854
(Medal and Clasp).
