Eastern expedition in March 1S54, and served in Turkey after the end of the war, and was present at the siege of
Sebastopol and assault of the Redan on i8th June (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served with the 70th
Regiment during the war in New Zealand in 1863 (Medal). Served with the Abyssinian expedition in 1867-68 (Medal).
*^ Mr, Edward Menzies served with the 94th Regiment during the operations at Aden against Arab tribes in Aug.
1846. Served in the Crimean campaign from May 1855, including the taking of Kertch and Yenikale, and attacks of
the Redan on the i8th June and 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served with the 59th
Regiment at the storming of Namtow, China, on nth Aug. 1858.
" Doctor Prendergast accompanied the Eastern expedition in 1854 as Surgeon of the 77th Regiment. While in
Bulgaria he was appointed to the personal Staff of Lord Raglan, and attended him in the field at the battle of Alma,
and in all the other actions until his Lordship's death, when he accompanied his remains to England (Medal with
four Clasps, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
" Doctor Reid served with the'91st Regiment in the Kaffir war in 1851-52 (Medal). Promoted Deputy Inspectoi
General " for highly meritorious services during the epidemic of fever in the Mauritius" in 1867.

' Mr. Chapman served throughout the campaign in Afi'ghanistan under Lord Keane, and was present at the storm
and capture of Ghuznee (Medal).
=■ Mr. Allen served in the field with the Cape Mounted Riflemen during the Kaffir war of 1846-47 and wag present
in many skirmishes (Medal).
^ Mr. Anderson sei-ved the Eastern campaign of 1854, and again from 15th March 1855 (Medal with Clasp for
Sebastopol, 5th Class of the Medjidic, and Turkish Medal).
" Doctor D. S. E. Bain served in the Crimea from 13th May 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal
with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
' Doctor E.W. Bawtree served in the New Zealand war, and acted as Senior Medical Officer in Taranakifrom May
1865 to April 1866, and took ijart in expeditions against the rebel Maories. Served in Abyssinia as Principal Medical
(iffloer of British Troops to the 2nd Division of the expeditionary force from gth March 1868 to the termination of
the campaign (Medal).
5 Doctor F. H. Baxter served with the 6th Dragoons in the Crimean campaign from 9th March 1855, including the
attack of the i8th June, battle of the Tchernaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, 5th Class of
the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
"> Doctor Blake served with the 98th Regiment in China (Medal), and was present at the storm and capture of
Chin Kiang Foo. Served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman, the siege of
Sebastopol, and repulse of the sortie on 26th Oct. 1854 (Medal with three (!llasps, and Turkish Medal).
'2 Mr. Blenkins served with the Grenadier Guards in the Crimean campaign from 20th Dec. 1854, including th&
siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
" Doctor Boyes served as Surgeon of the 1st Battalion 60th Rifies in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, and was
present during the second siege operations at Mooltan and capture of that fortress, battle of Goojerat, pursuit of
the Sikh Army until its final surrender at Rawul Pindee, the occupation of Attock and Peshawnr, and expulsion of
the Affghan Force beyond the Khyber Pass (Medal with two Clasps).
" Doctor Cameron served in Bengal during the mutiny as Surgeon 37th Regiment (Medal).
1^ Mr. Cowan served with the i8th Royal Irish in China (Medal), and was present during the operations against
Canton, and the attack and capture of Chapoo, Shanghai, Woosung, and Chin Kiang Foo. Served also in the Pun¬
jaub campaign of 1848-49 (Medal).
I'' Mr. De Lisle served with the 4th Regiment throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles-
of Alma and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, Knight of the Legion of Honor, and
Turkish Medal).
1' Doctor R. Domenichetti served on the Staff of General Havelock on his first taking the field in 1857, ^■rid was-
present in the actions of Futtehpore, Aoung, Pandoo Nuddee, Cawnpore, Buseerutgunge, Bithoor, and Alumbagh,
also the defence of the Alumbagh (ttanked by the President of the Council of India). Served with the 75th Regiment
before Lucknow under General Outram in two attacks upon his position (Medal with Clasp).
"t Doctor H. Downes served in the Crimea from the 20th Nov. 1854, including the siege and fall of Sebastopot
(Medal with Clasp, Turkish Medal, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).
" Doctor U. W. Evans served as a volunteer (his Regiment, the 16th Lancers, being at home) from the commence¬
ment of the war in Russia until promoted in December 1854, including the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inker-
man, and in the Trenches before Sebastopol (Medal with four Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
*' Mr. W. F. T. Ivey served with the Army in Turkey and Bulgaria in 1854, and in the Crimea in the 31st.
Regiment in 1855, including the siege of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
•r Doctor Galbraith served with the 99th Regiment in the New Zealand war (Medal), and was present at Ohaeawi
and Ruapekapeka. He was the Senior Medical Officer present during the greater part of the operations in the-
southern district of New Zealand ; at several skirmishes in the Valley of the Hutt; also at the Horokiwi on the 6th
Aug. 1846. Served with the expeditionary force in the North of China in i860 (Medal).
" Mr. Graves served with the 4th Light Dragoons during the campaign in Affghanistan under Lord Keane, and
was present at the siege and capture of Ghuznee (Medal). Served also in the Crimea with the 68th Regiment iw
1854-55, and was present at the battle of Inkerman and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with two Clasps, and Turkish
Medal).
23 Doctor G. K. Hardie served with the 53rd Regiment in the Punjaub campaign in 1849, tmd was present at tke-
battle of Goojerat (Medal with Clasp).
2* Mr. Howard served with the 20th Regiment throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles-
of Alma and Inkerman, siege of Sebastopol, and assault of the 8th September (Medal with three Clasps, 5th Class-
of the Medjidie, and Tm-kish Medal). Served in the Indian campaisjn of 1857-58, including the actions of Chanda,
XJmeerpore, and Sultanpore, siege and capture of Lucknow (Medal with Clasp).
25 Doctor Hunter served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Balaklava, and siege?
of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
26 Mr. Jee served in the Persian war in i857,including the night attackandbattleofKooshab,and bombardment
of Mohumrah (Medal with Clasp). Served with Havelock's Column in the several actions leading to and ending in
the relief of the Residency of Lucknow and subsequent defence; with Outram's force at Alumbagh, including the
repulse of the numerous attacks, and operations ending in the final capture of Lucknow; present with Brigadier-
Campbell's Column in the affairs of 20th'and 21st March; also the Rohilcund campaign in 1858 and capture of
Bareilly (Medal with Clasp, CB., Victoria Cross, and a year's service for Lucknow).
2? Doctor Jopp served -with the Queen's Royals during the campaign of 1844-45 in the Southern Concan and Sawant
Warree country, including the storming of several stockades, and the investment and capture of the Forts of
Monohur and Munsuntosh.
28 Mr. Laing served the campaign under Sir Charles Napier against the mountain and robber tribes situated on
the right bank of the Indus early in 1845. Served in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 (Medal with Clasp). Joined
the 23rd Fusiliers in Bundlecund in Jan. 1858, and served in the operations across the Goomtee, at the siege and
capture of Lucknow and Trans-Gogra operations (Medal with Clasp).
23 Doctor M'Wharrie was present with the sgth Regiment at the operations before and capture of Canton in iS-57
(Medal with Clasp).
30 Mr. Mockler served -with the 10th Regiment in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, including the latter part of
the siege operations before Mooltan, the surrender of that fortress, and battle of Goojerat (Medal with two Clasps).
»i Mr. Moore served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the affair of Bulganac, battle of Alma, capture of
Balaklava, sortie of the 26th October, battle of Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps 5th
Glass of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). '
22 Doctor Moorhead served with the 32nd Regiment at the first and second siege operations before Mooltan, includ¬
ing the capture of the city anci surrender of the fortress (Medal -with Clasp).
*» Doctor B. Nicholson served as Staff Assistant Surgeon in the Kaffir war of 1847-48 ; with the 60th Rifles in the-
Kaffir war of 1851-53 (Medal); and as Staff Surgeon in the campaign of i860 in North China in charge of one of the
