capture of Amoy, ChiisM.n, Climhae, Nmgpo, Chapoo, Woosuug, Shanghac, and Chin Kiang Foo, and landing

-■' Major General E. K. Money served the Affghauistan campaign of 1842 under General Pollock, including the
forcing of th; Jugdidluck Pass, action of Tezeen, forcing the Huftkotul Pass, and recapture of Cabul (Medal). Has
the Medal wi-Ji Clas|) for Pegu, 1S53. having commanded the Artillery at Rangoon. Present at the battle of
Budleekeserai and througlioat the siege of Delhi. Dangerously wounded on 23rd July 1857 (Brevet of Major, Medil
with Clasp).
'-'" Major General C. W. Moore served with the 6th Madras Native Infantry in the China war in 1842, and was
present at the stjrming of Chin Kiang Foo and operations before Nankin (Medal).
2"" Major General G. F. Moore served with the 10th Regiment in the early part of the siege operations before
Mooltau'in 1848 (Medal with Clasp), including the affair of the gth September, and the storming of the enemy's
strongly entrenched position, was severely wounded in the thigh on 4th November.

^u ilajor General T. R. Mould was Commanding Royal Engineer in Taranaki, New Zealand, during the Maori war
of i86oh5i; conducted the operations of the Sap against the position of Huivangi and Teareipah; was second in
command in the action of Mahoetahi (mentioned in despatches, CB., and Modal).
2" Major General G. G. Moxon served throughout the I'unjaub campaign of 1S48-49, and was present at the first r.nd
second siege operations before Mooltau.incinding the caiitiire of the town, surrender of the fortress, repulse of tho
night attack on our Cam]) at Muttee Thai, storming of the Dhumisala, action of Soroojkhoond, and attack on tho
Suburbs on 27th Dec. 1848; afterwards present at the battle of Goojerat (.Medal with two Clasps). Served in the
Indian mutiny campaigns in 1858-59; commanded a Detachment of Military Police and proceeded to ths relief of
the Deputy Commissiinier of Mendiah, who was surrounded by rebels at Shaikporah; in December 1858 commanded
a force of Irregular Cavalry and Infantry and Military Police and routed a large body of mutineers and Bondelas
under the rebel leader Rmimut Singh, killing five of his sirdars and capturing the whole of his camp eijuipage and
baggage ; subse<iuently engaged in jiursuit of rebels under Himmult Singh, and on three occasions caught up iho
enemy and defeated them (Medall.
'^'^ Major General VV. S. S. Mulcaster served in the Saugor and Nerbudda Territories during the suppression of the
mutiny in Bengal; present at the affair near Sehora and at Kooagaum ; served with Brigadier Rowcroit's Field
Force in the Goruckpore district in Bengal from May to December, and present at the action at Amorah; com¬
manded the cavalry at the action at Hurriah, and thanked by Colonel Byng, and favourably mentioned by BrigaiUer
Eowcroft in their despatches; commiindod the cavalry at the affair at Bansee, and favourably mentioned by Brigailier
Rowcroft in his despatch, and thanked by Brigadier Fischer in his despatch; present at Brigadier Rowcroft'*
action at Toolsepore in Dude, and at the'reduction of Bundlecund under Brigadier Wheler (Medal with Clasp for
Central India).
"'* Major General A. M. Murray served in suppression of the Indian mutiny in 1857-58 (Medal).

Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, including the affair of Ramnuggur, passage of the Chenab, battles of Chillianwallah
and Goojerat (wounded), and pursuit of the Sikhs and Affghans (Medal with two Cla.sps). Served in the Kohat
expedition under Sir Charles Napier in 1850 (Medal with Clasp).
'^' Major General William Murray served in the campaign in Central India in 1S57-58 under Sir Hugh Rose, and
was present at Peepliah, Radwul, Mundisoro, Goorarew, Mmlunpure, Jal, Behul, Jhansie, Kotiah, Koonea,
Ooolowlee, and Calpee, Bilawah, Gwalior, and wounded by a musket-shot in the leg, bayonet-wound in the cheek
and back (Medal with Clasp, and Brevet of Major).
^* Major General St. John O'Neill Muter served in the campaign in the Southern Mahratta Clountry of 1844-45.
^™ Major General R. A. Napper served in the Bomhay Presidency with the 2nd Company nth lirigade Royal
Artillery during the mutiny and was present at the attack on the Fort of Beyt in the Gulf of Cutch on the 2nd
April 1858.
'"" Major General W. Nembhard served with the Army of the Sutlej against the Sikhs in 1846. During the war
of 1852-53 in Burmah (Medal with Clasp for Pegu). Also throughout tho Indian mutiny campaign of 1857-58 and
present at Dumoh when the town was attacked by the mutineers and rebels in July and on the 5th August 1857 ;
also present at the attack on the fort of Nursurghu'r, and at an attack in the KuUungee Pass, near Jubbulpore, by
a body of rebels ou the 27th September 1857 (Medal).

'838-39. Commanded a Detachment of Sappers and Miners at Herat, in Central Asia, in 1840, and repaired the fortifica¬
tions of that city. Served as Field Engineer with the Kandahar Division under Sir Vfm. Nott in 1842, taking part in
the operations which led to the reoccupation of Ghuznee and Cabul (sUghtly wounded, Medal). Served as Field
Engineer with tlie Scinde Field Force in 1843 under Sir Charles Napier (Meilal). Served with the Persian expedi¬
tion on special duty under Sir James Outram in 1857 (Medal).
J™ Major General F. G. Nuthall served in the expedition against Kurnool in 1839. Also with Brigadier Whitlock's
Column from 23rd July to 31st Dec. 1857 during the Indian mutiny.
"»* Sir Harry St. (ieorge Ord served as Brigade Major in the combined French and English expedition to the Baltic
in 1854, and was at the siege and capture of lioniarsund, for which he received Brevet rank (Medal).
