I Major Johnstone served with the 33rd Regiment in the Crimea in 1855, including the siege of Sebastopol and
assault of the Redan on the i8th June (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served in the Abyssinian cam¬
paign in 1867-68, and was present at the storming and capture of Magdala (mentioned in despatches "for able
management of native carriage," Medal).
= Major Campbell and Captain Fawcett served throughout the Abyssinian campaign in 1867-68, and were present
with the 3^rd Regiment at the storming andcapture of Magdala (Medal).
' Major Bally served as Aide do Camp to Brigadier General CoUings in the Abyssinian campaign in 1867-68
(mentioned in despatches for " zeal and intelligence," Medal).
' Capiain Wason served the Abyssinian camjiaign in 1867-68 as Adjutant 33rd Regiment (Medal).
* Captains Douglas, Durrant, Tidmarsh, Nosljitt, and Fraser and Lieut. Conor served with the 33rd Regiment
throughout the Abyssinian campaign of 1867-68, and were present at the storming and capture of Magdala
(Medal).
"Major Dring served the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, and was wounded at the battle of Ferozea lah (Medal).
Served also at the siege of Sobustopol in 1855, including sorties of 5th and loth May, and attack of the itedan on the
8th Sept.—wounded (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
II Quarter Master Ames served with the 7th Fusiliers in the Crimea from the 17th June 1853, including the siege
and fall of Sebastopol, and assault of the Redan on the i8th June (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served
also in the Indian N. W. Frontier war of 1863 with the Eusofzye Field Force, and was present at the defence of the
aungahs at the Umbeyla Pass, and at the attack on and storming of the Conical Hill and destruction of Laloo,
also in the action at Umbeyla and destruction of the village at the foot of the Bonais Pass which ended in the
complete rout of the enemy and the submission of the Hill Tribes (Medal with Clasp).
