1 Lord Henry Percy served with the
Grenadier Guards in the Canadian
insurrection in 1838. Served the
Eastern campaign of 1854-55, includ¬
ing the battles of Alma (wounded),
Balaklava, and Inkerman (wounded),
and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with
four Clasps, Aide de Camp to the
Queen, Victoria Ctosr, Knight of the
Legion of Honor, 4th Class of the
Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Com¬
manded the ist Battalion Grenadier
(}uards on the expedition through
New Brunswick after the Trent affair.

' Lt.ColonelPcnton served with the 84th Regiment in the Indian campaign of 1857-58—joined Havelock's Force at
Oawnpore, present in the actions of Muugawar and Alumbagh, headed a party wliich stormed and took possession
.of a gate through which the relieving force had to pass on its way to the Residency of Lucknow, commanded a
Company in the sortie of 29th September, when a number of guns were taken, and at the storming of the Him
Khaiinah he extricated his commanding Officer Major Willis from a mine-pit while exposed to a heavy fire from
itbree points and was the first in through the breach ; present with Outram's Force at the Alumbagh; at the fall of
Luoknow commanded throe Companies of the 84th Regiment at the storming of the Kaisabagh; served with Lugard's
■Column and present in the actions of the 17th and 26th April, relief of Azimghur, and pursuit of Koer Sing (Medal
with two Clasps, and a year's service).
' Major Robinson served with the 8gth Regiment in the Crimea from the 5th Jan. 1855, including the siege and
:fall of Sebastopol, and attacks of the i8th June and 8th September (Medsil with Clasp, 5th Classof the Medjidie,and
Turkish Medal).
** Captain Harvest served with the 89th Regiment in the Crimea from the 20th August 1855, including the siege
. an'l fall of Sr.bastopol. and attack of the 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Meda'l).
'Captain Scaly served with the SgthRegiment in the Indian campaign in 1858-59, includingtheaffairat Vaseelgbur,
i;i Central Indin,, on 3rd August 1S59 (mentioned in despatches. Medal).
' Captain Richmond accompanied Sir Garnet Wolsele3'to the Gold Coast in September 1S73 on special service
and served throughout the Ashanti war of 1873-74. Commanded the advanced guard of Houssas at the action ^of
Essaman, and a company of Wood's Regiment at the reconnaissance in force of the 27th November (twice men¬
tioned in desjiatches, promoted to an Unattached Company', Medal with Clasp).
' Major Forster served the campaign of i860 in China w'ith the Buffs (Medal with Clasp for the Taku Forts).
