1 Sir George Bowles served in the north
of Germany in 1805 andG under Lord Calhcart.
Preseut at the siege and capture of Copen¬
hagen in 1807. In the Peninsula from 1800
to 1814 (excepting tlie winters of 1810 and
11), and was present at the passage of the
Douro; battles of Talavera, Salamanca, and
Vittoria; sieges of Ciudad Rodrigo, Badajoz,
Ilurgos, and San Sebastian; capture of Ma¬
drid ; passages of the jlidassoa, Nivelle, ^.ive,
andAdoui'i and the investment of Bayonne.
Present at the battles of Quatre Bras and
Waterloo, and at the capture of Paris. He
has received the War Jledal with six Clasjjs.
2 Colonel Yonge served with the
Queen's Royals throughout Lord Keane's
campaign in Aifghanistan and Beloochistan,
and was severely wounded at the storm¬
ing of Ghuznee (Medal). He served also
the campaign in the Southern Mahratta
country in 1844 (including the storm of the
fortress of Punella) and that of the Concan in
1845.
5 Captain Strachan commanded a detachment of
the 1st W. I. Regt. at Danish Accra, Gold Coast,
during tile Rebellion of 1864. He also commanded
a division at the destruction of the large Mandingo
town of Maleaghea, near Sierra Leone, 22nd May
1855, wliere, out of a force of 150 men, upwards of
70 men and 4 officers were killed or wounded.
9 Captain W.Thompson served in the Eastern campaign from
May 1855, including the expedition to Kertch (Medal and Clasp
and Turkish Medal). Served as Adjutant of the Military Tiain,
acting as Cavalry, in the Indian campaign of 1857-58, including
the relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde, occupation of the Alum-
bugh under Outram with several engagements there, fall of
Lucknow, relief of Azimghur, capture ot Jugdispore ; served
witli the cavalry pursuing force in Oct. 1858, engaged several
times, and horse severely wounded by sabre cuts in the action
of Noandee (mentioned in despatches, Medal and twoCia.sps).
11 Lieut. Arrowsmith served with the 31st Regt. at tlie siege
of Sebastopol from 23d May to 15th Aug. 1855 (Medal aud Clasp,
and Turkish Medal).

G Captain Orrasby was present with the expedition which stormed the war fences of Kambia and bombarded the town of
Gbollah, Western Africa, on the 2;ird and 24th March 18.")9.
9 Lieut. Gardiner served 1 he campaisn of 1344-45 in the Southern Mahratta country, including the capture of the forts of PanuPa,
Pownifliur, Monahur.and Munsuntaooh.
10 Ensign Lynch served in the 41st Regt. throughout the Kastern Campaign of 18.')4-53 including the battles of Alma and
Inkerman (severely wounded in several places), sortie of 2(ith October, attacks of the Redan on 18th June and 8th Sept.,
siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Accompanied the Expedition up the (Jambia
against the King of Baddiboo in 18G1; was on board I!.M.S. " Torch" at the bombardment of the Enemy's works on the
banks of the Swarracunda Creek on ICth Feb.; present at the landing storming and capture of the Enemy's entrenched
works, storming capture and destruction of the fortified towns of Carawan, Kinty Cunda, and Saba, battle of Saba, storm
capture and total destruction of the Enemy's stockades on 21st Feb. 1861. Also served against the King of Quiah and was
present at the capture and destruction of Massongha, of the stockades and war fences at Madoukia, and of the Fetisli town
of Robeah, also ot the towns of Maferaba and Majohn on 28th Dec. 1801.
