3 CapUin Squirl served as a Lieutenant In the
•Austrian Army under Marshal Radetzki in 1848—49
and was present at the battles of Mortara and No'
vara. Served in the Kaffir War of 1850-53 ( Medal).
4 Captain Bruce served in the Crimea with
the card Kegt from the 6tli Sept. 1835, includ¬
ing ihe siege and fall of Sebastopol; also the
bombardment and Ciiptureof Kinbourn (Medal
wilh Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
5 Captain Fry served with the Central India
Field Force under Sir Hugh Rose in ISSz-.'iS
and was present at the actions of Koonch, all
the operations before Calpeefrom l5th to •limX
May, battle of Golowlie, capture of the town
and fortress of Calpee, battle of Morar, battle
before and capture of the town and fortress of
Gwalior, commanded three companies of the
88th Kegt. and captured a battery of three
guns on the heights before Gwalior, and turned
them on the enemy ; also present at the taking
of Pourie (Bledal with Chisp).

1 Major Penton served in the Indian campaign of 1357-58,—joined IlaveJock's force at Cawnpore, present in the actions of
Mungawar and Alumbagh, headed a party which stormed and took possession of a gate through which the relieving force hud
to ))ass on its way to the Residency of I.n.-know, commanded a Company in the sortie of 29th Sejit. when a number of guns
was taken, and at the storming of the Him Khannah he extricated his Commanding Officer Major Willis from a mine pit
while exposed to a heavy fire from tliree points and was the first in through the breach ; present witii Outram's force at the
Alumbagh; at the fall of Lucknow commanded three companies of the 84th Rcgt. at the storming of the Kaisabagh ; served
with Lugard'a Column and present in the actions of the l/th and 2(ith April, relief of Azimghur, and pursuit of^Koer Sin"
(\Icdal with two Clasps, and a year's service). "
7 Qr.Master Munio served in the Crimea from 13th June 18.55, including the expedition to Kertch, sieo-e and fall of
Sebasiopol (Medal witli Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served at the siege and capture of Kotah on 30th March 1858 (Medal
and Clasp).
