disarmed at Mean Meer one Regt. of Native

all dis.itfected and ripe for mutiny.
4 Major Browne coninianded the Head
Quarter wing of the 81st Regt. in the Eiisoozie
P 28 Oct. 68 ' expedition in 1858. Served in the Indian
Mutiny in 1857-58 and was present when
the 81st Regt. under Colonel Renny dis¬
armed at Mean Meer one Regt. of Native
Cavalry and three Regts. of Native Infantry,
.ill disaffected and ripe for mutiny.
5 Major Tonnochy served with the 29th Regt. in tho
Sutlej campaign in 1816, including the battle of Sobraon
(Medal). Served also in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-49,
including the passage of the Chenab, and battles of Chillian-
wallab and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps). Served as a
Brigade Major in the Eusoozie expeditionin 1858. Served
ihroughout the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58.
6 Captains Chicliestcr and Faircloth served in the Eusoofzie
expedition in 1858. Served in the Indian Mutiny in 3857-68
and were present when the Slst Begt. under Colonel Renny
