3 Lt.Colonel Woods served with the I'/th Regt. in the Crimea from 20th Nov. 1854, and was present at the siege and
fall of Sebastopol, and commanded the Grenadiers of the 97th with the storming party of the Redan on the 8th Sept.

4 Major Colnian, wliile on passage uf Indui m the Transport Briloii, was wrecked or the Lesser Andaman in Nov. 1844, and
remained on that island firty-one days, suffering very severe privalions. He served with the 80th Regt. throughout the Sutlej
campaign ofl845-C, and was present in the battles of Moodkee, I'erozeshah, and Sobraou—ran the Standard Bearer through the
body in single combat (.Medal and two Clasps).
5 Major Webb served at the siege and assault of Delhi in 1857, including repulse of Sorties on 9th and 14tli July, cap¬
ture of four guns on 12th Aug., and six days'fighting in the City; afterwards present in the action of Bolundsliur, allair of
AUyghur, and battle of Agra, the action of Dilkooslia and relief of Luckiiow under Lord Llyde, affair of the 2d and action
of 6th Dec. at Cawnporo, and action of Kliudagunj (Medal and Clasps).
6 Major M'Crea served in Delbi from the 18tii Sept. 1857, and was afterwards present with Creathed's nioveabli' column
in the aciions of Boliindshnr and AUygliur, affair of Akrabad, battle of Agra, affair of Kanouge, advance into Oude, action
of Marigunge, Alumbagh, and Dilkoosha, rehef of Lueknow under Lord Clyde, the affair of the 2nd and action of Clh Dec.
at Cawnpore, action of Khudaguiige, and occupation of Futtehghur. Served with a column in the .\gra Disirict in June 1858
watching the Calpee rebels ; also with Brigadier Hale's Brigade during the Onde campaign of 1858-59 (Medal and Clasps).
7 Captain Longfield accompanied the force under .Major R. S. Baynes wdiich surprised the garrison and secured the fort
and magazine of I'hillour on the Sntlej ou the 12tli and 13lh .May 1857 ; also served at the siege of Delhi and repulse of Sorties
on 9th, 14th, 18ih, and 23d July, and capture of four guns on 12th Aug. 18.o7; alteruards ])resent in the action of Dilkoosha
and relief of Lucknow under Lord Clyde, the affair of 2d and action of 6tli liec. at Cawnpore, and action of Khudaguiij, also
served in the (.iude campaign of 1858-59 as Brigade Quartermaster to Brigadier Ilale's force, and was present at the attack and
capture of the fort and town of Sandee Medal and Clasps).
8 Captain Whitting served in tlie Indian campaign from March 1858, and acted as Staff Adjutant to a detachment at Sas-
Beram and was engaged in the operations against the rebels in the jungles of Jugdeesiiore under Sir E. Lugard; also served
the campaign o( 1858-59 in Onde, including the attack and capture of the fort and town of S:indee (Medal).
9 Captain Stebbing served at the siege and assault of Delhi in 1857 and during the six days'fighting iu the City; afterwards
present in the affairs of Gungaree, Puttiwalla, and Mynpoorie (Medal and Clasp).
14 QuarlermastiT White served with the«th Lancers in Uie Sutlej Camiuiign of 1845-46, and was present at the battle
o) Sobiaon (Medal). The Punjuub Campaign of 1348-49, including the passage of the Chenab, and bailies of Chillian-
vallah and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps). Also throughout the supjiression of the Indian Mutiny in 1857-59, includini;
the battle of Budlekcserai, siege assault and capture of Delbi, wiili Greathed's column in Ihe actions of Bulundsbur,
Agra, and Kanougf, the relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde, battle of Cnnnpore on 6th Dec. 57, aciions of Seraighal and
Khudagunge. siege and ciipliire of Lucktiow, summer campaign in Oude and Rohilcund, and aciions at Rhodamou,
Alligunge, UareiUy, and Sbahjebanpore, with the pursuit to Mabomdee, and passage of the Gogra at Kyzabad,operations
on the Nepaul frontier, and affairs at llutchleegoan and Kumdikoti (Medal and Clasps). Served with llie Buff's the cam¬
paign of 1860 in China (Medal).

17 Captain Plummer served at the siege of Sebastopol from 12th July 1855 (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish MedaP.
Served with the 4th Punjaub Rifles in the successful attack on the Cabool Khali Wuzeerees in Dec. 1859and Jan. I860;
and as A.Q.M.Gen. to the Tank field force under Brigadier Chamberlain in the operations against the l\Iahsord tribe of
Wuzeerees from April to the 22d May 1860, including the forcing of the Burrura Pass and burning of Blakeen.
30 Lieut. Potham served in the 7th Fusiliers in the Indian N. W. Frontier war of 1863 with the Eusafzye field force
and was present at the defence of the Sungahs at the Umbeyla Pass.
31 Quarter Master Metcalf served with the 49th Regt. throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the
battles of Alma and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol, sortie of 26th Oct., and assaults of the Redan on the 8th June
and 8th Sept. (Medal and three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
