China as Orderly Officer to Brigadier Jephson, including
the actions of Sinho, taking of Targku, and Taku Forts
(Medal wiih Clasp). Served in the Abyssinian Campaign
witli the Traiispiirt Corps.
S4 Capiain Blurton served the Eastern campaign of
1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Halakiava, and In.
kerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and four Clasps,
and Turkish Medal). Also the China cai;ipaign of 188D

1 General Spink served with the Light Company of the I'Jth Regt. in several actions in the Travancore war. East
Indies. Severely wounded through the leg when leading a night attack against the enemy's position at St. Mary,
in the island of Bourbon. Present also at the capture of the Isle of France, where his company armed with rifles formed
the advance immediately on the disemharkation of the troops, and with which he was constantly engaged with the
enemy during the three days' march on Port Lotiis.
2 Colonel Addison served the campaign in Aflghanistan and Beloochlstan in 1339, including the storm and capture of I
Gliuinee (Medal) ami of Khelat. Served as Major of brigade throughout the campaign in the Southern Mahratta country v
In 1«44 (including the storm of Punelhi,—wounded, and named in despatches as one of the first on the breach), and that I
in the Concan in 1845. Served in the last Kaffir war of 1851, and was severely wounded on 14 Oct. 1851, on Waterkioof
Heights (Medal and Brevet of .Major). Received the Brevet of Lt.Colonel on 24 July 1857 for special services under Sir
Geo. Grey, Gov. of the C. of G. Hope. Commanded the 1st Battalion 2nd Queen's Boyals throughout the cumpaign of
18(;0 in North China (Medal with two Clasps, and CB.).
3 Lt.Cohmel Werge served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including thebattlrs of Alma and Inkerman, siege and fall
of Sebastopol, sortie of 2lith Oct., and as Brigade Major 1st Brigade, 'Jntl Division, at the assault of the Red.m on 8lh Sept.
(Medal and three Clasps, B.-evet of Major. Knight of the Legion of Honor, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Tnikish Medal).
4 Ll.Colonel Kose served with the 30th Heat, the Eastern campaign of 18.54-')5, including the battles of Alma and \
Inkerman (severely wounded), siege of Sebastopol, and sortie of 2tith Oct. (Medal and Clasps, Brevet Major, 5th Class I
of the Aledjidie, and Turkish Mednl). I
5 Major Rocke served in the China war of 1860, and wos engaged in the actions of the 12th and ]4th August (Medal I
with Clasp for Pekin). !
6 Major Wtir served in the Kaffir war of 1851 53 (Medal): and with the expeditionnr^rth of the Orange River in 1852-53. '
Also the China war of 18H0, including the actions of the 3rd, 13th, and 14th August, I8th and'ilst Sept.,and advance on
Pekin (Medal with Clasps for the I'aku Forts and Pekio).
7 Major Thompson served throughout the campaign of 1860 in China including the actions of the 3rd, 13th, and 11th
August. 18th and «lst Sept. (Med.il with two Clasps).
8 Major Connor served in the Kaffir war of 1851 53 (Medal). Also the campaign of ISfiO in China, including the action
of Sinho, taking of Tangku, anil actions of Chankiawan and Palichow (Jledal and Clasps).
9 Captain Dunscombe served with the 46tli Regt. at the siege of Sebastopol in 1854-55 (Medal and Clasp, Sardinian
and Turkish Medals).
10 Captain Brady served with the 1st Royals at the siege ami fall of Sebastopol from 1st June 1855 (Medal and Clasp,
and Turkish Bledal). ,
11 Major Lynch served in Persia with the Scinde Horse in 1857 (Medal). Joined Havelock's force on Its first taking
the field in India, and was present in every action fought by that column (horse killed at Cawnj-ore). Appointed to the i
command of a troop of Volunteer Cavalry after the recapture ot Cawnpote, and suhsetjuentiy served as second in com- ^
mand of the Volunteer Cavalry with the Oude field force, and was present in all the actions fought by that force until
the relief of Lucknow on 25th Sept. 1857, and defence of the Residency until its final relief on the 24th Nov. following ',
by Lord Clyde (severely wounded, mentioned in Dispatches, Medal with Clasp, Brevet of Major, and grant of a year's
service for Lucknow;.
12 Major Colley served throuchout the China war of 1860, including the taking of the Taku Forts, actions of the 12th
and 14ih Artgust, IH'h and 21st Sept., and advance on Pekin (Medal with Clasps).
13 Cai.tain Phiilipps served as Adjutant to the 1st Bait. 2nd Queen's, throughout the campaign of 18C0 in North China
(Medal with two Clasps lor Taku Forts and Pekin).
10 Captiiin Tucker served in the China war of 1860, and was engaged in the actions of the iSth and 21st Sept., and
advance on Pekin (RSedal with two Clasps).
18 Captain Gubbins served irr the China war of 1860, and was engaged in the actions of the 3rd, 12tb, and 14th August,
18th and 21st Sept., and advance on Pekin (Medal with two Clasps).
39 Qr.-Master Mackie served in the Kaffir war of 1851-53 (Medal). Also in the China war of 1860, and was engaged in
the actions of the 12th and Hth August, 18th and 2Ist Sept., and advance on Pekin (Medal with two Clasps).
