36 Colonel Rowan served the Syrian campaign (Medal). Also the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battle of
Inkernian and siege of Sebastopol, in the trenches with the siege train and bombardment of October (Medal with two
Clasps, CB., 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
38 Colonel Phillpotts served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol in 1855 (Medal with Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie,

40 Colonel Price commanded the Artillery of the Rajpootana field force under General Roberts at the capture of Kotah

and Sultanporc ; also present at the siege and capture of Lucknow in March 1858, and with Grant's Column in the actions
at Koorsee and Barree (four times mentioned in despatches, C/^., and j\Iedal with Clasp.
43 Miijor General Dickson served on the staff of Lord Raglan during the campaign of 1854-55, and was present at the
affairs of Bulgnnac and M'Kenzie's Farm, the battles of Alma and Inkerman, capture of Balaklava, expedition to Kertch,
and siege ot Sebastopol (wounded4th Feb. lH55): commanded the right siege train, and was present at the bombardment of
Octobtr, April, and June 17th (Medal with four Clasps, C'Z?., Aide de Camp to the Queen and Colonel, Victoria Cross,
Officer of the Legion of Honor, 2nd Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). He is also a Knight of Charles the
Third, 1st Class St. Fernando, and Knight of Isabella the Catholic.
4^ Colonel Adye served the Eastern campaign of 18o4-55 as Assist.Adj.General of Royal Artilleiy, and was present at
the affairs of B'ulganac and M'Kenzie's Farm, the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, capture of Balaklava Castle,
siege and fall ot Sebastopol (flledal with four Clasps, CB., Officer of the Legion of Honour, 4th C'ass of the Medjidie,
and Turkish Medal). Served in India in 1857-58 as Assist.Adj General of Royal Artillery, and was present at the aition of
Panduo Nuddy UG Nov., operations before Cawnpore under Gen. Windham 27th, 28th, and 29th Nov., battle of Cawnpore
and defeat of the Gwalior Ccaitingent 6th Dec. 1857 (three times mentioned in despatches, Medal). Employed on special
Service with the Expedition of 1863 against the tribes on the North West Frontier of India, and was present at the
storm of Laloo, capture of Umbeylah, and destruction of Mulkah.
47 Colrnel H. L. Gardiner served in the operations at Prestott in Upper Canada in 1SC8. Also in the pursuit of Tantia
Topee in Central India in 1858.
4S Major C. W. Elgee, Captains A. H. C. Hamilton, Dyce, and Hon. R. V. Dillon, were at the capture of Canton in Dec.
185T(BIedal with Clasp).
4U Colonel Younghusband served in the Eastern campaign of 1S54, including the battle of Inkerman and siege of

Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal. Served the Indian campaign of 1857—58, and commanded the Artillery of
Gtneral Franks' force at the action of Secundra, also commanded the Royal Horse Artillery at the siege and capture of
Lucknow (three times mentioned in despatches. Brevet of Colonel, Medal with Clasp).
52 Colonel Tiiompson served at the siege and fall of Sebasiopol in 1855 (Medal and Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie,

repulse of the sortie on llie 26th October 18-"'4 (Medal with three Clasps, CB.^ Knight of the Legion of Honor, 5th Class
of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Received the Brevet of Lt.Colonel for distinguished service at the battle of Alma
in crossing the viver with two guns, ascending the heights and enfilading the Russian columns. Commanded a troop of
Uo>al Horse Artillery in India in 1858-5g.
56 Colonels Fisher and Clifford served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol in 1855 (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish
Bledal). Colonel Clifford has the 5ih Class of the Medjidie.
57 Colonel Longden served in tlio Indian Campidgn of 1857-58, including the relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde, battle
of Cawnpore (commanded the l8-Pounder Battery) and subsequent engagement at Subardar's Tank—wounded (four

Artillery of Brigadier-General VV^alpole's Division, and was specially recommended for promotion as having "distinguished
himself throughout the operations, particularly on the 9th and 11 Lb March, 18ot'.'' Commanded the Artillery of Sir Hope
Grant's Column in the action of Simree—severely wounded (five times mentioned iu despatches. Brevet of Major, Ci^.,
