1 Sir George Wynier served throughout the Nepaul War in 1814-16, and was present at the attack and capture of the fortress
of Nalaghur and surrender of tlie forts of Joojooroo, Farrsghu"-, and surrounding stockades, attack on the Malown Range,
Hahyke Tibbee range, and defeat of the attnck on Col. Thompson's poaitinn 29th Dec. 18U and surrender of the fortified
positions on the Ruinghur range, attack of the line of forts on the Jliilown range 14th April and defeat on the following
nio.ning of the enemy's attack for their recovery with surrender of the fortresses of Loorajeghur and Mallown and the entire
Goorkha army and surrounding stockades (Indian War Medal). In 1810 joined the army under Sir Wm. Nott at Candahar
and was present during the investment of that city. In May proceeded in comninnd of a convoy for the relief of the fortress
of Kehit-i-Gilzie and beat off and defeated the combined attack of the Gihics and Dooranees at Lcsun Ailme inflicting heavy
loss (received thanks of the Governor General of Indi^). Appointed Brigadier and to the command of the 1st Brigade of the
Canduhar force, during which was present in the following affairs, in most of which he commanded, viz.—Assccr Ailince, Ur-
eundauh, Urgundee, Benebudaum.Midaun, Calleechuk, Punjwarah, Commanded at the battle of Baboo Wallce, Commanded
tlie attack on the Kojuck heights and Pass, battle of Gorino, storm and capture of Bullove heights, and capture of Ghmnee
(Medal inscribed " Candahar, Ghuznce, and Cabul," Thurd Class of tlie Doranee Order. Aide^le-Camp to the Queen, CB.
and subsequently KCB.).
9 Captain Loekhart served during the Santhal Insurrection in Bengal in 1855. Also at the siege of Delhi in 1857 and
received a gunshot wound through the lower jaw (Medal with Clasp).
10 Captain Higgins served in the I'unjaub campaign of 1848-49 with the force under General WTieeler, and was present
at the taking of several tons and at the assault of the heights of DuUah (Medal). Served with the Expedition under
Colonel Markham in 18S2-5a against the Hosungais.
11 Captain Harrison served in the Indian Mutiny campaign in the affairs of the 25th and aSth March 1859 on the Nepau
frontier (Medal).
12 Captain Ward served with the 2 E. B. Fusiliers in the Indian Mutiny campaign, including the siege and capture of
Delhi (Medal with Clasp). Also in the campaign of 1860 in North China, with the 15th Piinjaub infantry, including the
capture of the Taku Forts, actions of the 18th and 21st September, and surrender of Pekin (Medal with two Clasps).
