X Colonel Boyle served in the trenches and afterwards as Aide de Camp to Sir James Simjison during the latter part
of the siege of Sebastopol, and was present at thelinul attack on the 8tli Sept. (mentioned in dispatches,_Medal with Clasp,
Brevet of Major, Knight of t)ie Legion of Honor, Stii Class ol the Meiljidie, and Turkish Medal). Served also as Assistant
Military Secretarv to Sir William Codringtou until the evacuation of the Crimea. Commanded a Field Force in opera¬
tions connected with the pursuit of Tantia Topee and the Rao Sahib in Rajpootana in 1858-59.
3 C.-.ptaiii Heycock served in the Crimea from 5tli Jan. I8S5, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol, and attacks of
the Isth June and 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasp, and 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Modal). Commanded Field
Detachments against insurgent Bheels in Guierat in 1858, and again in operations connected with the pursuit ol rebel
forces in Rajpoolana in 1853-59.
8 Captain B^rstow served in the Crimea from 29th June 1855, including tiicsiege and falj of Sebastopol, and attack of ilie
