5 Captain Ingles served with the 32nd Hegt. at the second
siege of Mooltan in 1848-9, including the storm and capture
of the city, and surrender of the fortress; also present at
the subsequent surrender of the fort and garrison of Cheniote,
and at the battle of Goojerat (Medal with two Clasps).
Served with Sir Colin Campbell's field force on the Peshawur
frontier in 1852, .ind was present at the engagements of
Xowadund, Praamgliur.and Shahkote.
8 Lieut. Payn served in the 35th Rept. with Sir John
Douglas';Column in the Shahabad Campaign of 1858, includ¬
ing the dispersion of the rebels from Jugdespore and sub¬
sequent pursuit (Medal).
