1 sir Alexander Woodford served in the 9th Reat. in North Holland, and was severely wounded on the 19th Sept. 1799. Served in the
Coldstream Guards at the capture of Copenhagen m 1807. Served on the StatTin Sicily in 1808, 9, and 10. Commanded the Light BatUlion of
the Brigade of Guards, at the siege ofCiudad Rodrigo, capture of Badajoz, battle of Salamanca, capture of Madrid, and at the siege of Burgos.
Commanded first Battalion Coldstream Guards atthe battle of Vittoria, capture of San Sebastian, at the NivellC; the Nive, and investment of
Bavonne, Commanded the second Battalion at the battle of Waterloo, surrender of Paris, and during the occupation in France. Sir Alexander
has received the Gold Medal and two Clasps for the battle of Salamanca. Vittoria, and the Nive; and the Silver War Medal vritb one Clasp
for Ciudad Rodrigo and Nivelle ; and he is a Knight of Maria Theresa of Austria, and Fourth Class of St. George of Russia.
2 Colonel de Bathe served in the Crimea from 17lh Kov. 1854, and was present at the siege and fall of Sebastopol
Medal and Clasp, 6th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
4 Colonel Stephen!-on served in the Eastern campuign of 1854-55, includini; the battles of Alnin, Balaklaya, and
Inkerman, siege of Sebastopol and sortie on the 26th October. Was Military Secretary to the Commander in Chief in the
Crimea from early in July until Nov. 1855 (Medal wtth four Claspfi, Kniglit of the Legion of Honor, 4th class of the
Mediidie, and Turkisli Medal). Served as Assist.Adjutant General to the expeditionary force in China from March 1867 lo
14ih Feb. 1860, and present at the capture of Canien in Dec. 1857 ; and served as Deputy Adjutant General lo the force
under Sir Hope Grant from 14th Feb. 1860 to 16tli March 1861, present al the stormine and capture of the Taku Forts, the
actions of the 18tli and 21st Seiit., and siib^iequent advance on Pckin {CB. Brevet of Colouel, Medal with fnree Clasps).
0 Colonel Hepburn served in the Eastern campaign of 18.54-55, including the battle of Alma (severely wounded), siege
and fall of Sebasiopol (.Medal with two Clasps, 5ih Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
6 Lord Abinger served in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Inkerman, and Balaklava,
siege of Sebaslupol and sortie on the 26th Oct.; was appointed extra Aide de Camp to Major Geneial Sir James Yorke
Scarlett on 3rd Nov. 1854, and rejoined bis Eegt. 1st April 1856 (Brevet of Mfgor, Medal with four Clasps, 6th Class of the
Mediidie, and Tuikish Medal).
7 Lt.Colonel Meyrick served in the Crimea from .30th Doc. 1854, and was present at the siege and fall of Sebastopol
(Medal with one (;lasp, 6ih Class of ihe Medjidie, and Turkisli Medal).
8 Lt.Colonel Aitcliison served with the Ist Batt. 91st Regt. at the Cape of Good Hope from Dec. 1845 to March 1847,
and was engaged in a severe affair with the Caffres oii the 22nd May 18-16, when his horse was shot under him (Medal).
10 Lt.ColonelGipps served the Eastern campaignof 1854,includine the battles of Aln]a(bayoiiet wound ofhand), Balaklava,
and Inkennan (severely wounded, shot through neck), siege of Stbastopol and sortie on the 26th Oct. (Medal with four
Clasps, Brevet of Major, Knight of the Legion of Honor, 6th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
11 Lt.Colonel Hon. W. Cuke served the £astern campaign of 1854-65 (was Aide de Camp to Loid Kokeby from 9th Aug.
(1856\ including the siege and fall ol Sebastopol (wounded in the trenches on Oih August) : mentioned in despatches,
Menal with one Clasp,Brevet Major, Sardinian and Turkish Medals, and 5th Classof the Medjidie.
12 Lt.CoIonel Baring served throughout tlie Eastern campaign of 1864-55, iticluding the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and
Inkerman (wounded), siege and fall of ."^ebasiopol and sortie on the 26tti Oct., wounded by grape-shot in tlie trtnchea
Mi'dal with four Clasps, Brevet of Major, Kniaht of the Legion of Honor, 5ih Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
13 Lt.CoIonel Lamblon served in the Crimea from 30th Dec. 1854, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with
one Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
14 Lt.Colonel Hon. H. Anneslev served with the 43rd Light Infantry in the Kaffir war of 1851-2-3 (Medal), and was
severely wounded in right arm at the baitle of Berea. Served with the Scots Fusilier Guards in ihe Eastern campaign of
1854 including the battle of Alma (severely wounded): Medal and Clasps, and Turkisli Medal.
Id' Li.Colonel MoncrieH served in the Crimea from 2nd May 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebaslopol (Medal with
one Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
16 Ll.Colonel Gordon served throughout the Eastern campaiirn of 1854-55, includine the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and
Inkerman, siege an'i fall of Sebastopoi, and sortie of 26th Oct.; was Aide de Camp to General Simpson from 22nd Aug. to
l2tli Nov. 1858 (Medal with four Clasps, 5lh Class of the Meiljidii-, and Turkish Medal).
