' Sir George Henry Lockwood commanded the 3rd Light Dragoons throughout the campaign of 1842 in Affghan-
istan under General Pollock (Medal, and CB.), and was present at forcing the Khyber Pass, storming the heights of
JugduUuck, action of Tezeen, and Huftkotul, occupation of Cabool, siege and capture of Istaliff. He served also
in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, and commanded a Brigade at the battle of Goojerat (Medal with one Clasp).
* Captain Godson served with the King's Dragoon Guards in the Zulu war of 1879 in the squadron under Major
Marter, and took part in the capture of King Cetywayo (Medal with Clasp).
3 Lieut. Scott served with the 19th Hussars in the Egyptian war of 1882 (Medal, and Khedive's Star).
* Lieut. Crabbe served as a volunteer with the 6th Inniskilling Dragoons in the Boer war of 1881. Served as a
volunteer with the 19th Hussars in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal
with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
5 Lieut. Patton-Bethune served in the Boer war of 1881 as a volunteer attached to the Inniskilling Dragoons.
Served as a volunteer attached to the 4th Dragoon Guards in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present m the en¬
gagement at JVIahsama, the two actions at Kassasin, the battle of Tel-el-Kebir, and the capture of Cairo (Medal
with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
6 Lieut. Long served with the Carabiniers in the Afghan war in 1879-80, and took part in the expeditions
into the Lughman Valley and against the Wuzeereo Khiigianis; was also present at the attack and destruction
Of the Villages of Nargozi, Arab Kheyl, and Jokan (Medal).
