1'Major Scott served with the 19th Hussars in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at the action at Kas-
Basinonthe 28th August (Medal, and Khedive'E Star). Served throughout the Nile Expedition in 18S4-85 with
the Light Camel Regiment, and took part in the operations of the Desert Column (Clasp).
« Captain Patton-Bethune served in the Boer war of 1881 as a volunteer attached to the Inniskilling Dragoons.
Served as a volunteer attached to the 4th Dragoon Guards in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present in the en¬
gagement at Mahsama, the two actions at Kassasin, the battle of Tel-el-Kebir and the capture of Cairo (Medal
(Vith Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
1° Captain Pirie served with the 4th Dragoon Guards in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present in the engage¬
ments at El Magfar and Mahsama, and at the two actions at Kassasin (mentioned in despatches. Medal, and
Khedive's Star); also served with the Soudan Expedition under Sir Gerald Graham in 1884 with the Staff of the
Cavalry Brigade, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temai (two Clasps). Served with the Nile
Expedition in 1884-85 as Boat Officer and subsequently as Staff Officer to the Cavalry with the River Column under
Malor General Earle, and was present in the action at Kirbekan (mentioned in despatches, two Clasps).
'1 Captain Dwyer served in the Zulu war in 1879 with the 17th Lancers, and was present in the engagement at
Ulnndi (Medal with Clasp).
