' Captain Abdy served with the 2nd Life Guards in the Egyptian war of 18S2, and was present in the engage¬
ments at El Mngfar and Mahsama, in tlie two actions at K.assasin, and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with
Clasp, and Khedive's Star).

^ Captain T. Acton served with the 53rd Regiment in the Indian campaign of 1857-59, including the action of
Kuhjvvah (severely wounded), storm and capture of Meangunge, siege and capture of Liicknow, and affair of Koorsie,
passage of the Goomtee and occupation of Saltanpore; served as Brigade Major at the storm and capture of Ram-
pore Cassie, at the jiassage of the Gogra at Fyzabad on 25th Nov., and minor affairs (mentioned in despatches.
Medal with Clasp).
' Captain J. H. Baldwin served in Bhootan in 1865 (Medal).

Served in pursuit of the reliel army under Tantia Topee in 1858 ; and with a Field Force against the Bheel.s and
Mekranies in the Rewa Kauta in 1859 (commended by the Governor of Bombay).
" Captain G. J. BuUer served with the ist Battalion of the 17th Regiment in the Afghan war in 1878-79 with tho
ist Division of the Peshawar Valley Field Force, and was pivsent at the attack and capture of All Musjid and in
the engagements at Deh Sarak and Futteha,bad (Medal wit'n Clasp).
7 Captain F. W. H. D. Butler served with the Chinese Coolie Corps throughout the campaign in the North of China
in i85o,and was present at the action of Sinho, storming of Tangku, and actions of the i8thand 21st September (Medal
with two Clasps for tho Taku Forts and Pekin). Served with the 31st Pegiment during the operations against the Tae-
pings in the vicinity of Shanghai in April and May 1862, resulting in the caking of the stockade of Nanhsiang, capture by
escalade of the walled cities of Kadin, Tsinpoo, and Tsolin, the fortified towns of Najow, and the affair at Nauhsiang
