- General the Hon. Sir St.George Foleyserved in the Eastern campaign in 1854-56, as Assistant Commissioner
St the Head Quarters of the French Army, and was present at tha battles of Alma, Balaklava, Inkerman, and
'L'chernaya, the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with four Clasps, Brevet of Lt.Colonel, CB., Officer of the
Legion of Honor, 4tli Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Served as Military Secretary to the expe¬
ditionary force in China from March 1857 to Feb. i860; was present at the capture of Canton in Dec. 1857 (Brevet
of Colonel), and other affairs in the neighbourhood. Served throughout the campaign as British Commissioner
at the Head Quarters of the French Army in China from Feb. i860 to March i36i, and was present at the storming
and capture of the Taku Forts, the actions of the iSthand 21st September—in the latter commanded 200 French
Mounted Artillerymen, 50 Chasseurs d'Afrique, and a squadron of Fane's Horse—horse shot (mentioned in
French despatches, and made Commander of the Legion of Honor), and subsequent advance on Pekin (good
service pension. Medal with three Clasps).
'' Lt.Colonsi Priorservedwithadetachmentof the 80th Regiment in the Perak Expedition in 1875-76 (Medal with
Clasp). Proceeded on special service to South Africa nt the commencement of the Zulu war in 1879; and was present
with the Frontier Light Horse in the engagement at Zlobane Mountain; was Orderly Officer to Colonel Buller nt
the affair at Upoko River, and was presentat the engngementat Ulundiand in the reconnaissance on the previous

" Major Horsbrugh served in the operations against Sekukuni in 1878 and also in 1879, and was present at the
storming of the stronghold (Medal with Clasp). Served with the 1st Battalion South Staflbrdshire RcL'iment in
the Egyptian war of 1882, and was iiresent in the reconnaissance in force from Alexandria on the 5th August
(Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Nile Expedition in 18S4-85, and was present at the action of Kirbekan
—severely wounded (two Clasps).

the Zulu war of 1879, part of the time as District Adjutant ol the Transvaal (Medal with Clasp). Served with the
ist Battiiliou South Stall'ordshire Regiment in the Egyjitian war of 1882, and was proserit in thcreconnnissance in
force from Alexandria on the 5th August (Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85
with the ist Battalion of the South Staffordshire Regiment, and took part in the operations of the River Column
under Major General Earle, including the action of Kirbekan (two Clasps).

and was severely wounded in the right arm at the battle of Amoaful (Medal with Clasp). Servedm the Egyptian
