* Major J. a. Shanks served with the R. M. Battalion at Eupatoria in 1854, and with the Brigaile in the Crimea
during the siege of Sebastopol in 1855 (Medal with Clasp, 5th (Jlass of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
5 Major A. Cook was employed with a detachment of the 32nd Madras Native Infantry that fornaed part of the
force in the field to intercept the rebels under Tantia Topee irom gth November 1858. Was engaged in the pursuit,
of insurgent fcihans on the north-eastern frontier of Teuasserim and Martaban Provinces during May i860.
^ Major M. N. O'Connor served the Bechuanalaud Expeditition under Sir Charles Warren in 1884-85 with tho ist
Battalion of the Royal Scots.
' Major H. Knight served in the Egyptian war of 1882 (Medal, 4th Class of the Medjidie, and Khedive's Star).
1° Major Du Boulay served in the Egyptian war of 1882 in command of the Signallers of the Cavalry Division,
and was present in the engagements at El Magfar and Mahsama, in the two actions at Kassasin, and at the battle
«f Tel-el-Kebir and the capture of Cairo (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
