" Captain Towers-Clark served
with the 57th Regiment in the Zulu
campaign of 1879, including the
action of Gingindhlovu and relief of
Ekowe. Served afterwards to the
end of the war as Orderly Officer to
Lt. Colonel Clarke while commanding
suecessivel.y the 2nd Brigade ist
Division and "Clarke's Column."
Made several road surveys, including
the road in Zululand from St. Paul's
to the Middle Drift of the Tugela
River (Medal with Clasp).
'" Captain Law served in the Zulu
war in 1879 (Medal with Clasp).
^' Captain E.J. Sharpe served with
the 57th Regiment in the Zulu war of
1879, and was present at the action of
Gingindhlovu and relief of Kkowe
and throughout the operations of
"Clarke's Column" (Medal with
Clasp). Served m the Egyptian war
of 1882 (Medal, and Khedive's Star).
"^ Captain Bennett served with the
Zhob Val'.cy Expedition in 1884.
