wounded (mentioned in despatches, two Clasps). Served with the Nile E,\-pedition in i8S4-85.nnd was present
at the action at Abu Klea (two Clasps). Served in the operations near Suakin in December i3SS including the
engagement at Gemaizah (mentioned in despatches. Clasp), and in the operations in August 1SJ9 includ.ng the
engagements at Arguin and Toski (mentioned in despatches, Clasp). Was nominated to the 4th Class of the
Osmanieh for his services with the Egyptian Army.
" Captain Jones served with the Eg.yptian Frontier Field Force in 1885-86, and was present in the engagement
at Giniss in command of the escort to the General Officer Commanding (Medal, and Khedive's Star).
'* Captain Vaughan served with the Egyptian Frontier Field Force in 1S85-86, and was present in the engage¬

Raised in 1759 as the 20th Inniskilling Light Dragoons. Ireland till 1763, when it was dis'oanded. Baiced in
1779 as the 20th Light Dragoons. United Kingdom till 1783, when it was disbanded. Raised in 1791 as the 2cth
Jamaica Light Dragoons. Jamaica to 1802. England to 1S05. To the Mediterranean, 1805. [A wing to San
Salvador in 1805, thence to the Cape in 1806, and South America (captureof Monte Videb), returning to lilngland,
J807.] Head Quarters at Barcelona, June 1806 ; a detachment to Maida, 1807 ; a detachment to Egypt, June 1808 ;
six troops in England and four troops in Sicily, July 180S. Head Quarters to the Peninsula (battle of Vimiera).
The whole Regiment to Messina, Sept. 1809. HeadQuarters to Palermo. May 1812 ; Sicil.y and Malti, 1815 ; and
in September embarked for England. To Ireland, 1817. Disbanded, December i8i3. Raised in i86j as 20th
Light Dragoons at Muttra of volunteers from the 2nd European Bengal Light Ciivnlry on the amalgamntion of
the British and Indian Forces. Soon afterwards changed to Hussars. India till Oct. 1872. England till Nov.
1S79. Ireland till Aug. 1884. Head Quarters and four troops to Suakin, one troop to the Nile, 1885. In Egypt
and Soudan till Oct. 1887. Then to England.
