with the Indian Contingent in the Egyptian war of 18S2, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with
Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
^ Captain Price served in the Afghan war in 1880 with the Khyber Line Force (mentioned in despatches by
Brigadier General Doran), and thanked in Khyber Line Force Orders by Lieut.General Bright for "extremely
gallant conduct'' in rescuing rafts proceeding to Dakka (Medal).
'^ Captain Baird served with the 2Ud Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment throughout the Egyptian war of
1882, and was present in the engagements at El itagfar and Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions at Kassasin, and at
the battle of Tel-El-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).

complete rout of the enemy and the submission of the Hill Tribes (Medal with Clasp).

22 Captain Perkins served with the 2nd Battalion Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry throughout the Egyptian war
of 1882, and was present at the reconnaissance in force from Alexandria on the 5th August, in the eugagements
at El Magfar and Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions at Kassasin, and at the battlj of Tel-el Kebir (Medal
with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with the 2ud Battalion of the Duke
of Cornwall's Light Infantrj', and took part in the operations of the Advance Column under Major General
Earle (Clasj)).
2* Lieut. Harvey served with the 2nd Battalion Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry in the Egyptian war of 1882
and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Modal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Nile Expe¬
dition in 1884-85 with the 2nd Battalion of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, and took part in the operations
of the Advance Column under Major General Earle (Clasp).

Clasp); also served with the Egyptian Frontier Field Force under Major General Grenfell in 1886 as Senior
Water Transport Officer.
28 Lieut. Wilbraham served with the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 (Medal with Clasp).
