1 Lt.Colonel Aytoun served in the Southern JIahratta campaign of 1S44-45, including the siege and capture of
the forts of Puneila, I'ownghur, Monohur, and Munsuntosh. Served in suppression of the Indian mutiny in 1858-59,
including the pursuit of Tantia Topee, actions with liheels, siege of Dwarka, and action of Somnassa (Modal).
2 Lt.Colonel Kennion served the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, including the battles of Moodkee, Ferozeshah, and
Sobraon (Medal and two Clasps). Siege of Delhi in 1857, slightly wounded on the 18th July, and severely wounded
through left arm and chest on 6th August (Brevet of Major, Medal with Clasp).
* Lord De Vesci served with the 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present
in the engagement at Tel-el-Mahuta, and at the battle of Tel-el-Kobir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
^ Lt.Colonel G. W. A. FitzGeorge went on special service to Egypt in August 1C82, served in the campaign ou the
personal staff of General Sir Garnet Wolseloy, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir, after which he took
home the despatches (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Lieut.C'olonel, Modal with Clasp, 4th Class of the
Osmanieh, and Khedive's Star).
* Lt.Colonel W. Livesay served in the suppression of the Indian mutiny from Deo. 1857 to Jan. 1S60, including
actions at Sahao and Puttra.i (Medal). Also served in the New Zealand war in 1864-65, including expeditions
in the province of Taranaki and in command of outposts, destroying many Pahs and fortified villages (Medal).
'" Lt.Colonel G. W. Smith served with the 98tli Regiment in the Peshawur Expeditionary Force on the Euzofzie
Frontier under Sir Sidney Coiton in April and May 1858, and at the affair with the Hindostanee fanatics on the
Heights of the Sitana on the 4th May (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Afghan war in 1878-79 as Assistant
Adjutant General with the Peshawur Valley Field Force, and was present at the capture of Ali Musjid (men¬
tioned in despatches. Brevet of Major, Medal with Clasp).
" Lt.Colonel.W. C. Mackinnon served with the 87th Fusiliers in Bengal throughout the Indian mutiny (Medal).
^2 Lt.Colonel J. G. Crosbie served with the 2nd Battalion 60th Rifles in the Afghan war from June to September
1880: accompanied Sir Frederick Roberts in the march to Candahar, and was present at the battle of Candahar
(Medal with Clasp, and Bronze Decoration). Served in the Soudan Expedition in 1884 with the 3rd Battalion
King's Royal Rifle Corps, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temai (Medal with Clasp, and Khe¬
dive's Star).
" Lt.Colonel P. F. Gallwey served in the Afghan war in 1878-79 in charge of the field parks of the ist and and
Divisions of the Peshawur Valley Field Force, and took part in the operations against the Zakka Kheyl Afreo-
<lees in the Bazar Valley under Lt.General Maude (Medal).
15 Lt.Colonel H. L. Gwyii served in India with the Okamundel Field Force in 1859 and was present at the capture
of the Fort of Boyt, and the siege and fall of Dwarka. Served with the column under Brigadier General Ross in
command of No. 3 Battery, 5th Brigade, throughout the opera'.ious in Perak in 1875-77 (Medal witli Clasp),
1' Lt.Col. J. H. Tulloch served in the Indi.'in campaign of 1858-59 and was present with the 3Sth Regiment at the
capture of Lucknow, and affairs of Barree and Nuggar; present, with the 23rd Fusiliers, at the actions of Jul-
rowlie, Poorwah, Beerah, and Doondiakiera, storming of Fort Simree, and Trans-Gogra operations (Medal with
Clasp).
1" Lt.Colonel H. L. Dundas served in the Afghan war in i83o as Brigade Major and Infantry Brigade Candahar
Field Force from the 23rd August (Medal).
1' Lt.Colonel H. M. Thompson served in the Eastern campaign in 1855-56, and was present at the siege and fall of
Sebastopol, including the assault on the Quarries on the 8th June, the capture of the Cemetery and Rifle Pits of the
18th June, and with the Reserve at the attack on the Redan of the 8th September (Medal with Clasp and Turkish
Medal). Also served in the operations against the Taeping rebels in China in 1863.
20 Lt.Colonel G. Malcolm served with the 34th Regiment in the Indian campaign in 1857-59, including the actions
at CaAvnpore on 26th, 27th and 28th Nov. 1857, siege and capture of Luoknow, and defeat of the rebels at Bootwul
(Medal with Clasp).
22 Lt.Colonel F. H. Dyke was present with the 69th Regiment during the repulse of an incursion of ITenians
into Canada in May 1870.
2* Lt.Colonel H. H. Oldham served in the China Expeditionary Force of i860, and was present in the actions of
Sinho and Tangku, assault and capture of the North Taku Fort, and surrender of Pekin (Medal with two Clasps),
l^erved in the Cossyah and Jynteah Hill campaign in 1863.
2" Lt.Colonel R. Elias served with the 59th Regiment in the Afghan war of 1878-80, and wrs present in the
engagements at Ahmed Kheyl and Urzoo near Ghuznee (Medal with Clasp),
