Eraser was wounded, crossed the ditch at the head of the Regt., and was severely wounded in planting the Colour

182 Colonel E. A. Wood commanded the loth Hussars in the Afghan war of 1878-79, and was present at the attack
and capture of Ali Musjid (mentioned in despatches. Brevet of Lt.Colonel, Medal with Clasp). Served in the Soudan
Expedition under Sir Gerald Graham in 1884 ^^ command of the loth Hussars, and was present in the engagements at

into Oude from Shahjehanpore. Served with the 17th Lancers in the Zulu war of 1879, and was present in the
