' Colonel Oldfield served in the Indian campaign of 1857-59,and was present at the relief of Arrah (wounded) and

actions of Mungarwar and Alumbagh, and defence of the latter until arrival of Lord Clyde; actions of La Mautiniere
and relief of Lucknow; with Outram's Force at the Alumbagh, in repulse of numerous attacks and operations ending

8 Captain S. Boxwell served in the Afghan war of 1878 80, and was present with both expeditions into the Bazar

'■• Captain H. E. Buchanan served in the Afghan war of 187S-80, and took part in the two expeditions into the

" Captain A. Chancellor served in the Afghan war of 1878-80, and took part in the first expedition into the Bazar
Valley and in the engagement at Deh Sarak (Medal).
'2 Lieut. Caulfeild served with the 66th Regiment in the Afghan war of 1878-80, and was prese'jt in tlie engage-
7uent on the Helmund against the Wall's mutinous troops, in the action at Maiwand (wounded) and the subsequent
ilcfence of Caudahar (Medal, and Medal for distinguished conduct in the field).
'^ Lieut. Grifliths served with the 2nd Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment throughout the Egyptian war of
1682, and was present in the engagements at El MagCar and Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions at Kastasin, and at
the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
^^ Captain Francis Drake was at the defeat of the Dinapore rebels near Mirzapore in August 11857, and afrer-
wards served with Havelock's Column in the action of Mungarwar, capture of the Alnmbagh, relief of the
Residency of Lucknow and its subsequent defence (wounded) ; throughout the operations at the Aiumliagh under
i)ntrain, and at the final capture of Lucknow; also in the Oude campaign of 1858-59, inaluding tho action of
. .Ki'xarghat, capture of Omerah, and destruction of other forts (Medal with two Clasps, and grant of a j'ear's
service). Served with the 5th Fusiliers in the Afghan war of 1878-S0 (Medal).

7 Major Reamsbottom served in the Abyssinian campaign with the Transport Train, and was present at the

* Lt.Colonel Morton served as Adjutant of the ist Battalion 6th Regiment in the Hazara campaign of 1868, in-
