' Sir Henry Dalrymple White served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 in command of the Inhiskilling Dragoons,
including the battles of Balaklava (mentioned in despatches), Inkerman, and Tchernaya, and siege and fall of
Sebastopol (CB., Medal with three Clasps, Knight of the Legion of Honor, 4th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish
Medal).
* Colonel Curtis served with the 6th Dragoon Guards in the Crimea from the 20th July 1855, including the battle
of the Tchernaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served also in the campaign
of 1857-58 against the mutineers in India, including the actions on the Hindun of the 30th and 31st May, battle of
Budleekeserai, siege and fall of Delhi, and subsequent operations under Brigadier Showers; also the affair of Myn-
poorie and Kerkrowlie, capture of Bareilly, relief of Shahjehanpore, and subsequent affairs at Mahuudee and
Shahabad (Medal with Clasp). Served with the Inniskilling Dragoons in the Boer war of i88t.
