1 Mr. T. Moloney served with the 3rd Sikh Infantry in the Jowaki expedition of 1877-78 (Medal with Clasp).
2 Mr. Costello served with the 6th Punjab Infantry in the Umbeyla campaign m 1863-64 (Medal with Clasp).
Was present in the Jowaki expedition of 1877-78 (Clasp). Served in the Afghan war of 1878-80, first in charge of
the Native Base Hospital of the Koorum Field Force, and afterwards with the ist Goorkhns in the Khyber Line
Force (Medal).
* Mr. Oldham served with the ist Goorkhas in the operations in the Malay Peninsula in i87.i;-76 (Medal with
Clasp). Also served with the ist Goorkhas in the Afgh.in war of 1878-79 (Medal).
^ Mr. Lewtas served in the Afghan war of 1878-80 with the Guides Cavalry, and was present at the taking
of Ali Musjid, the action of Futtehabad, the storming of the Takht-i-Shah heights near Cabul on 13th December
1879, and at the storming of the Asmai heights on the 14th December (mentioned in despatches). Was present
throughout the operations at Sherpore, and in the engagement at Charasiab on 25th April 1880 (mentioned iu
despatches, Medal with Clasp).
