1 Sir William Codrington commanded a Brigade of the Light Division, and afterwards a Division throughout
the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and lukerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol
(Medal with Clasps, KCB., Commander of the Legion of Honor, Grand Cross of the Military Order of Savoy,
ist Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). l>om u November 1855, and until the evacuation of the Crimea,
he was Commander in Chief of the ICastern Army. Has also the MedaiUe Militaire of Franco, as having com¬
manded an army in alliance with France.
^ Colonel FitzRoy served the Eastern campaign of 1854, in the 41st Regiment, including the battles of Almaand
Inkerman (severely wounded), and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
'' Coloni51 Hall served at the siege of Sebastopol from 20th Nov. 1854 to i6th Jan. 1855 (Medal with Clasp, and
Turkish Medal).
'* Colonels Wigram and Lambton served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from nth Dec. i854(Medal with Clasp,
5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
15 Colonel Lord Wm. F. E. Seymour served as a Midshipman with the Baltic Fleet in 1854 (Medal).
'^ Colonel Fremantle served with the Rifle Brigade in the Crimea from 3rd Dec. 1854 to gth July 1855, including
the siege of Sebastopol; also commanded 163 men at the last sortie of the Russians a-gainst the Quarries on 7th-8th
June, and commanded the Woolsack party of the Light Division at the assault of the Redan on i8th June—severely
wounded (Medal with Clasp, Sardinian and Tm-kish Medals). Served also in the Indian campaign, including the
siege and capture of Lucknow, Trans-Gogra campaign, with expedition into Nepaul—mentioned in despatches
(Medal with Clasp).

' Colonel White served at the siege of Sebastopol from 21st Nov. 1854 to loth Aug. 1855, including the attack of
the Redan on the i8th Jime (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served from i6th Nov. 1858 to the i6th March
1859 with the Berar Field Force, which took the field for the pui-pose of preventing the rebel chiefs Tantia Topee and
Feroze Shah from penetrating into the Deccan.
" Lt.Colonel Manners served in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol, from
25th Dec. 1854 (Medal with Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Served the campaign of i860 in
China, including the taking of Sinho and Tangkia, occupation of Tientsin, and surrender of Pekin (Medal with two
Clasps).
'" Lt.Colonel Stewart served the campaign of i860 in China, including the taking of Sinho and Tangku, and
occupation of Tientsin (Medal with Clasp).
12 Major G. W. Thompson sei'ved in the Canton Police Force from 1858 to i860, and was present at the action of
Sheksting with the Kwang Tung rebels on 8th Jan. 1859. Campaign of i860 in North China, including the taking
of Sinho and Tangkn, occupation of Tientsin, and surrender of Pekin, the latter part as Orderly OlUcer to Brigadier
Urquhart (Medal with two Clasps).
" Major Rooke served the campaign of i860 in China, including the taking of Sinho and Tangku, occupa¬
tion of Tientsin, actions of the i8th and 21st Sept., and surrender of Pekin (Medal with two Clasps).
