His Majesty the Kins has been graciously pleased to confer the Military Cross on the
undermentioned Officers, in recognition ot their gallantry and devotion to duty in the
Field :—
Captiin Robert Francis Day Burnett, 42nd Deoll Regiment (attached 89th
Punjabis).
For conspicuous gallantry near Nenve Chapelle on the night of 7th-8th August,
1915.
With one Non-commissioned Officer and 4 Sepoys lie voluntarily advanced
from a sap-head under machine gun lire and rescued a badly wounded ■ on-
