'^' Captain G. Clements served the Eastern campaip'n of 1854-55 with the ist Royal Dragoons, inclucUrifr the
battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman. and siecre of Sebascopol (Medal with four Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
-^ Captain AV. Cliff served throughout the Gwalior campaign of 1843, including the battle of Punniar (Bronze
Star). Served throughout the Sullej campaign of 1845-46, including the battles of Moodkee, Fcrozeshah, and
Sobraon (Medal and two Clasps). Also throughout the Punjaub campaign of i848-4q, including the actions of
Ramnuggur, passage of the Chenab, battles of Sadoolapore, Chillianvvalla, and Goojerat (three times mentioned in
despatches, Medal with two Clasps). Served in the Indian Mutiny campaign in 1857-58, and was present at the
battle of Budleke Serai and subseipient operations before Delhi including its siege and capture from 8th June to
22nd Sept. 1857 — commanded two heavy guns from the 14th until the night of the 22nd September. Afterwards
present at the actions of Bolundshur, Aliyghur, and Agra, relief of Lueknow including the attack on Dilkooshar
La Martiniere, and Secunderabad ; battle of Ca.wnpore on 6th December, action of Khodagunge and retaking of
Futtehghur (mentioned in despatches, Medal with two Clasps). Commissioned as Ensign for having distinguished
himself on several occasions, but more particularly at the capture of Delhi, and considered by the Commander in
Chief in India as eminently worthy of reward.
^^ Captain W. Clinch served with the 39th Regiment throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-56, and was pre-
sent at the siege and fall of Sebastopol, and at the attacks of the i8th June and 8th Septembsr 1855 (Medal with
Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Has received the Medal for Long Service and Good Conduct".
^' Captain H. Clowes served in the Afghan wai in 1879-80, and took part in the defence of Candahnr (Medal).
^' Captain S. Cole served with the e.xpe lition to the Baltic in 1854, and was present at the capture of Bom irsund
(Medal). Serve 1 in the Eastern ca npaigu in 1854-55. and was pcesent at tlie siege aad fill of Sebastopjl (Medal
with Clasp, Medal for distinguished conduct, Turkrish Medal, an I Knight of the Legion of Honorl.
26 Captain J. W. Colley served with the Buffs throughout the operations in the Malay Peninsula in £375-76, in-
cluding the actions of the 4th i (th and 2<_t'.i .January (Medal with Clasp).

™ Captain C. Costelloe served in the New Zealand war in 1864-66, and was present at the capture of the Gate
Pah (Medal) .
■31 Major J. Cotton served in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (granted
honorary rank of Captain, Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
^^ Captain S. Cousins ferved in the Crimean campaign in 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastipcl and
expedition to Kin bourn (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medil). Served in the Indian Mutiny campaign in
1S57-59, including the operations against the Gwalior Contingent, the actions of Pandoo Nuddee, Bhognapore and
Selimpore, and the siege of Calpee and Lucknow (Medal with Clasp). Servel m the Kafir war of 1877-7S, and in
the Zulu war of 1879 (Medal with Clasp).
'^ Major H. Croisdale served in the Eastern campaign in 1855-56, and was present at the siege of Sebastopol
(Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
s' Captain W. Crumplin served in the Egyptian war of 1882 (Meda,l, and Khedive's Star) ; also served in the Nile
Expedition in 1884-85 (honorary rank of C.nptain, Medal with Clasp).
'■>' Captain \V. Cumberland served in the Egyptian war of 1882 with the 7th Dragoon Guards (Medal, and Khe
dive's Star).
3^ Captain J. Darker served with the 23rd Fusiliers in the Indian campaign of 1837-58, including the relief
of Lucknow by Lord Clyde, defeat of the Gwalior Contingent at Cawnpore, siege and fall of Lucknow (Medal witn
two Clasps, and a year's service).
3' Captain F. De Lisle served in the Zulu war of 1879, first in command of a detachment of the ji'd Company
Army Service Corps, and afterwards with Colonel Baker Russell's Column on the White Umvaioosie River (Medal^
with Clasp).
^' Captain Timothy Dixon served with the 55th Regiment in the Crimea from the 25t;h Dec. 1854, and was present
at the siege and fallofSeliastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Also served on the Bhootan Exjjedition
including the recapture of Dewangiri in 1865 (Medal with Clasp) .
■*" Captain William Dixon served in the Indian Mutiny campaign in 1857-59, and was present at the siege assault
and capture ofDelhi (wounded), at the actions of Bagowa'llaand Nugoona, ihe relief of Moradabad, the engagement
on the Dojura, the capture of Bareill.y, the assault of Shahjehanpore, the capture of Bunnai, the pursuit of the
rebels to the Goomtee, and the actions at Fort Mohumdee, Shahabad, and Bunkagong; was also prescit in the
operations in Oude in 1858-59, including the engagements at Pusgaon, Rissoolpore, Port Mithowlee, and Biswah
< Medal with Clasp). Served with the Bed River Expedition in i87o(Medal). Served with the Burmese Expedition
in 1887-88 (Medal with Clasp).
•" Major E. J. Dolton served in the Eastern campaign in 1854-55, and was present at the battles of the Alma,
Balaclava, and Inkerman, and at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal with four Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
^'' Major George Douglas served in the Eastern campaign in 1855-56, and was present at the battle of the
Tchernaya (Medal, and Turkish Medal).
'^ Captain J. Dovaston served in the Indian Mutiny campaign in 1857-59, ^''^^ ^^^ present at the relief of Luck-
tiow, action of Cawnpore, storming of Meangunge, the passage of the Gogra, the action at Toolseeiiore, and
numerous minor engagements (Medal with two Clasps).

with Havelock's Column in the action of Mungarwar, capture of the Alumbagh, relief of the Residency of Lucknow
and its subsequent defence (wounded) ; throughout the operations at the Alumbagh under Outram, and at the final
capture of Lucknow ; also in the Oude campaign of 1858-59, including the action of Buxarghat, capture of Omerah,
and destruction of other forts (Medal with two Clasps, and grant of a year's service). Served with the 5th Fusiliers
in the Afghan war of 1878-80 (Medall.
*^ Captain R. Drake served in the China war in i860 (Medal). Also served in. the operations against ths
Taeping rebels in 1862.

5* Captain H. Folson served in the Soudan caranaisn in 1885 (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
5^ Cantam T. Ford served throughout the Egyptian war of 1882 with the ist Battalion of the Berkshire
Regiment, and was present at the surrender otKafr Dowar (Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served throughout
the campaign in the Eastern Soudan in 1885 with the ist Battalion of the Berkshire Regiment, and was present
in the engagements at Hasheen and the Tofrek zereba and the subsequent advance to and burning of Temai,
afterwards served as Transoort Officer to the Battalion (mentioned in despatches, honorary rank of Captain, two
Clasjis) ; also served with the Egyptian Frontier Field Force in 1885-86, including the engagement at Giniss.
