MESSRS. THOMAS & SONS wish to draw the attention
of Sportsmen, and especially those who are constantly in the
saddle, to the many advantages of their
LACED KNEED RIDING BREECHES.
Buttons constantly get broken and are driven into the shin,
and in cases where the breeches are too tight or too loose,
they admit of no adjustment. The use of laces obviously
does away with these irritating accidents, and, in addition.
gives an even elastic pressure unobtainable in any other
way.
None but those who have been in the saddle for many hours at
a stretch can conceive the relief this simple expedient alone affords.
But if any further proof were necessary, the fact that this method
of fastening at the knees has proved of inestimable value in South
Africa during the late war, and has been universally copied by
other tailors, should be sufficient. It should be borne in mind,
however, that the majority of these imitations are unsatisfactory,
and are calculated to prejudice the merits of the properly made
garment, which can only be obtained of us.
