1 The Rev. D. Arthur served in the Egyptian war of 1882 attached to the 1st Battalion of the Cameron High-
landers, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star) ; also served with the
Nile Expedition in 1884-85 (Clasp).
2 The Revs. J. A. Crozier, D. Somerville, and H. N. Wheeler served with the Army in the Crimea, and have re-
ceived the Crimean and Turkish Medals.
3 The Rev. P. Beaton served in the New Zealand war in 1S63-66, and was present in the engagement at Orakau
{Medal).
* The Rev. J. Bellord served in the Zulu war of 1S79, and was present in the engagement at Dlundi (Medal with
Clasp). Served in the Boer war in 1881. Served throughout the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at the

Expedition under Sir Gerald Graham in 1884, and was present in the engagement at El Teb and Temai (men.
■tioned in despatches, promoted Chaplain of the 2nd Class, two Clasps, and 4th Class of the Osmanieh). Also
served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-83 as Senior Chaplain with the force (mentioned in despatches, promoted
Chaplain of the 1st Class, Clasp). Was present in the engagement at Giniss.on the Upper Nile, on the 30th Decem-
ber 18S5 (mentioned in despatches). Served wir,hthe Dongola Expeditionary Force under Sir Herbert Kitchener
in 1896, including the engagement at Firket and the operations at Hafir (mentioned in despatches, 3rd Class of
the Medjidie, British Medal, and Khedive's Medal with two Clasps) ; and in the campaign in 1898, including the
battles of the Atbara (mentioned in despatches) and Khartoum (mentioned in despatches, DSO. and two Clasps to
Khedive's Medal).
6 The Rev. R. C. Browne served in the Ashanti campaign under Sir Garnet Wolseley (Medal).
7 The Rev. C. J. Coar served in the Zulu war of 1879, and was present in the engagement at Dlundi (mentioned
in despatches, promoted Chaplain 1st Class, and Medal with Clasp).
8 The Rev. J. A. W. Collins served with the field force in the Waikato during the New Zealand war in 1864-65,
and was present at the investment and capture of Orakau (thanked in brigade orders). Also served with the field
force under Major General Chute in the Wanganui-Taranaki campaign in 1866, including the Bush march to
Taranaki, and was present at the assault and capture of Otapawa and Waikowkou Pahs, and the destruction of
Kelemarai and other places (mentioned in despatches, Medal).
The Rev. M. Crooke served in the Eastern campaign in 1854-55, an <l w as present at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal
with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
10 The Rev. G. N. Godwin served in the operations near Suakin in December 1888 including the engagement at
Gemaizah (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
11 The Rev. J. Mactaggart served in the Zulu war in 1879 (Medal). Served in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was
present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star) ; also served with the Soudan Ex-
pedition under Sir Gerald Graham in 1884, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temai (two
<31asps). Served with the Nile Expedition in 1S84-85, and was present at the action of Kirbekan (mentioned In
despatches, promoted Chaplain of the 3rd Class, two Clasps).
12 The Rev. R. S. Patterson was in Turkey in the Imperial Ottoman service during the war in the East. Served
as a Lieutenant in the Canadian Volunteer Rifles at the time of the Trent affair, and also in the first Fenian raid ;
accompanied, as Chaplain, the Red River expeditionary force of 1870 under Sir Garnet Wolseley to Fort Garry
<Medal). Proceeded to the Gold Coast in September 1873, and served thereuntil the capture of Coomassie (Medal).
13 The Rev. C. A. Solbe served in the Egyptian war of 1882 (Medal, and Khe dive's Star).
l * The Rev. G. C. Williams served w'th the Baltic Expedition in 1854 (Medal).
