I Major Abbott served in the Crimea and was present in the action near Eupatoria while attached to the Light
â– Cavalry Brigade (Crimean and Turkish Medals).
* Captain Brown served with the 16th Lancers during the campaign in Affghanistan under Lord Keane in 1839,
ineluding the siege and capture of Ghuznee (Medal).
5 Major Butler served in the Indian campaign in 1858-59 ; commanded two guns Royal Horse Artillery in Malwa
Flying Column in pursuit of rebels under Tantia Topee in Dec. 1858 and January 1859 ; engaged at Zeerapore and
Chupra Baroda (twice mentioned in despatches and thanked by Governor General in Council, Medal).
* Major W. Johnston served in the Eastern campaign in 1854-55, and was present at the battles of the Alma,
Balaklava, and Inkerman, and at the siege and fall of Sebastopol —slightly wounded (Medal with four Clasps,
a»d Turkish Medal).
' Captain M'Gee served with the 10th Hussars in the Afghan war in 1879, and was present in the engagement at
Futtehabad— slightly wounded (Medal). Served in the Soudan Expedition in 1884 with the 10th Hussars (Medal,
amd Khedive's Star).
II Captain W. Matthews served with the Royal Dragoons during the Crimean war, and was present at the battles
of Balaklava (horse shot under him) and Inkerman, the siege and fall ol Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and
Tmrkish Medal) .
14 Riding Master Noake served in the Eastern campaign with the Royal Dragoons, and was present at tho
battle of Balaklava and at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal with two Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Has also the
Medal for Distinguished Conduct in the Field.
15 Major Pawson served in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battle of Balaklava, siege and fall of
Sebastopol, capture of Kench and Yenikale (Medal with two Clasp?, and Turkish Medal). Served with the expe-
dition to China in i860, and was present at Smho, Tangku, and capture of Takn Forts (Medal with Clasp).
