and capture of Lucknow, attack on the Fort of Rooyah, actions of Allygunge, Bareilly, and Shahjehanpore,
capture of Forts Bunniar and Mahomdie, passage of the Gogra at Fyzabad, capture of Rampore Kussia, and
subsequent operations in Oude across the Gogra and Raptee rivers (mentioned in despatches, Medal with Clasp).
Served throughout the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with the Cameron Highlanders (mentioned in despatches,
Brevet of Lt. Colonel, Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served throughout the operations of the Soudan
Frontier Field Force in 1885-S6 with the Cameron Highlanders, and was present at Kosheh during its invest-
ment, commanded the reconnaissance of the 16th December, and the right attack on the village ot Kosheh in the
engagement at Giniss (mentioned in despatches, 3rd Class of the Medjidie, and DSO.).
186 Colonel F. V. Eyre served in the Saugor district in 1857-58 (Medal).

croft's Field Force in Goruckpore from May to December 1858 ; present at the action at Hurriah 18th June 1858, and

188 Colonel T. B. Fanshawe served with the 33rd Regiment in the Crimea from June 1855, including the siege of
Sebastopol and assault of the Redan on the 18th June (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served as second in
command with a Wing of the Regiment at the siege and occupation of Dwarka, Okamundel.in 1S59. Served in the
Abyssinian campaign in 1867-68, and was present at the storming and capture of Magdala (Medal).

193 Colonel G. C. Fenwick. served in the Afghan war in 1879-P0 including the operations in the Besud Valley
(Medal), Served with the Burmese Expedition in 1885-87 (Medal with Clasp).
191 Colonel C. J. O'N. Ferguson served in the New Zealand war of 1861-66, including the actions of Katlkarn
and Kaitahi (Medal).

took home the despatches (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Lt.Colonel, Medal with Clasp, 4th Class of the
Osmameh, and Khedive's Star).
199 Colonel A. J. FitzGerald served with the 1st Battalion 60th Rifles during the second siege operations at
Mooltan, including the siege and storm of the town and capture of the citadel ; was afterwards present at the
battle of Goojerat, the pursuit of the Sikh Army, and the expulsion of the Affghans beyond the Khyber Pass
(Medal with two Clasps). Also present during the operations in the Eusofzaie Country, and capture of the insurgent
villages on the nth and 14th Dec. 1849 (Medal with Clasp).
200 Colonel J. Fitzgerald served in the Indian Mutiny campaign in 1857-59, an( i was present at the siege and
capture of Delhi (Medal with Clasp). Served in the China war in i860, and was present at the taking of the Taku
Forts, at the action of Sinho, and at the capture of Pekin (Medal with two Clasps).
201 Colonel J. FitzGerald served with the 6th Regiment throughout the operations against the hill tribes of
Sikkim in 1861 ; also in the Hazara campaign of 1868, including the subsequent operations in the Black Mountain
(Medal with Clasp) .
202 Colonel C. W. Fletcher served throughout the defence of the Residency of Lucknow from the 30th June until
its final relief by Lord Clj^de on the 1.7th Nov. 1857, and was severely wounded — shot through the left arm, resulting
in the loss of the use of the left hand — whilst on duty as Look-out Officer on the top of the Residency on the 1 8th
August (Medal with Clasp, wound pension for life, and a year's service) .
203 Colonel F. B. Foote was engaged in various expeditions against the mountain tribes near Peshawurin 1851-52
under Sir Colin Campbell (Medal with Clasp). Was engaged from Dec. 1857 throughout the suppression of the
mutiny in India, and present with the Goorkha Force under Brigadier General Macgrigor at the affairs of Gorruck-
pore, Shahgunge, and Khandhoonuddee— received the thanks of the Governor General in Council. Also present at
the siege and capture of Lucknow (Medal with Clasp).
201 Colonel A. W. Foord served in the Afghan war in 1S79 (Medal). Served with the Burmese Expedition in
1886-87 (Medal with Clasp).

keserai*. throughout the siege of Delhi, actions of Bolundshuhur, Alyghur, and Agra, relief of Lucknow by Lord
