1 The Rev. W. H. Bullock served in the Soudan campaign in 1885 as Senior Chaplain to the force (men-
tioned in despatches, promoted Chaplain i2> Class, Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
~ The liev. R.Brindle served in the Egyptian war of 1S82 (Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served with the Sondan
Expedition under Sir Gerald Granam in 1884, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temii (men-
tioned in despatches, promoted Chaplain of the 2nd Class, two Clasps, and 4th Class of the Osmanieh). Also
served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 as Senior Chaplain with the force (mentioned in despatches, promoted
Chaplain of the 1st Class, Clasp). Was present in the engagement at Gmiss, on the Upper Nile, on the 30th Decem-
ber, 1885 (mentioned in despatches). Served with the Dongola Expeditionary Force under Sir Herbert Kitchener
in 1896, including the engagement at Firket and the operations at Hafir (mentioned in despatches, 3rd Class of
the Medjidie, Khedive's Medal with two Clasps).
■•'• The Itev. J. Bellord served in the Zulu war of 1879. and was present in the engagement at Ulundi (Medal with
Clasp). Served in the Boerwarin 18S1. Served throughout the Egyptian war of 1882, and was presentat the
battle of Tel-el-Kebir— slightly wounded (promoted Chaplain 3rd Class, Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
1 Tne Rev. G. Kirkwood served in the Ashantiwar in 1873 (Medal). Served in the Zulu war in 1879 (Medal with
Clasp).
'■' The Rev. T. Foran served in the Zulu war in 1879 (Medal). Served in the Soudan campaign in 1885 (Medal
with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
' s Thj Rev. R. F. Collins served in the Egyptian war of 18S2 with the 1st Battalion of the Royal Irish Fusiliers,
and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Soudan cam-
otign in 1 33.4-85, took part in the defence of Suakin, and was present in the engagements at Hasheen and the

21 The Rev. George Smith served in the Zulu war of 1879 as Acting Chaplain to the Forces, and was present
at the defence of Rorke's Drift and in the engagement at Clundi (Mwdalwith Clasp). Served throughout the
Egyptian war of 1882 (Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Soudan Expedition under Sir Gerald Gra-
ham in 1884, and was present in the engagement at El Teb (mentioned in despatches, two Clasps). Served with the
Nile Expedition in 1884-85 (Clasp) ; also served with the Soudan Frontier Field Force in 18S5-86, and was present
in the engagement at Giniss.
