1 General MacKinnon served as Assistant Quarter Master General at the Cape of Good Hope in the Kaffir war
of 1S46-47, and as Colonel on the Staff in command of the 2nd Division of the forces in the field in the Kaffir war
of 1851-52 (Medal).
5 Lt. Colonel Rawlins served intheGaika war of 187S in command of the mounted infantry of his regiment ; served
throughout the Zulu war of 1879 in the Second Squadron of Mounted Infantry, and was present in the engage-
ments at Inyezane and Gingindhlovu (mentioned in despatches), and throughout the operations of Clarke's Column
(Medal with Clasp).
7 Lt.C'olonel Loinax served as Adjutant of the 90th Light Infantry in the Gaika war of 1878, including the operations
in the Waterkloof and Perie Bush, and the engagement at Taba Indoda. Also served throughout the Zulu war of
5879, anil was present m the engagements at Zungin Nek, Kamirala, and Ulundi (Medal with Clasp).
10 Major Strong served with the 90th Light Infantry in the Gaika war of 1S78, including the operations in the
Perie Bush. Also served throughout the Zulu war of 1879, and present in the engagements at Zungin Nek,
Kambxila (mentioned in despatches), and Ulundi (Medal with Clasp).
12 Major Douglas served in the Soudan Expedition under Sir Gerald Graham in 1884 as Aide de Camp to
Major General Da.vis, Commanding 2nd Brigade, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temai
(mentioned in despatches, Medal w-ith Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served with the Nile Expedition in 1884-85
with the Desert Column attached to the 19th Hussars (Clasp).
13 Major Grant served with the Bechuaualand Expedition under Sir Charles Warren in 1884-85.
14 Major Hopkins served with the 90th Light Infantry in the Zulu war of 1379, and was present in the engage-
ments at Kambula and Ulundi (Medal —ith Clasp).
15 Lt. Colonel Nason served in the operations in the Soudan in 1889 including the engagements at Arguin
(wounded) and Toski (Medal with Clasp, 4th Class of the Medjidie, and Khedive's Star). Served with the Dongola
Expeditionary Force under Sir Herbert Kitchener in 1896 as Brigade Major 1st Brigade, including the engage-
ment at Firket and the operations at Hafir (mentioned in despatches, Khedive's Medal with two Clasps).
20 Caotain Shaw served with the Hazara Expedition in 1888 as Brigade Transport Officer (Medal with Clasp).
27 Major White served with the 90th Light Infantry in the Zulu war of 1879, and was present in the engagements

25 Captain Fell served with the ooth Light Infantry in the Zulu war of 1879, and was present in the engagements
at Zungin Nek and Kambula (Medal with Clasp).
29 Captain Ussher served in the operations against the Jehus, Lagos, in 1891 (mentioned in despatches, Medal

30 Captain Twyford served with the Chm-Lushai Expeditionary Force in 18S9 as Transport Officer (Medal with

31 Major Walker served with the Benin Expedition under Rear Admiral Rawson in 1897 as special service officer
