Berkshire. — > Major Waring served as a volunteer with the 4th Dragoon Guards in the Egyptian war of 1882
and was presen 1 at the action at Kassasin on 28th August (Medal, and Khedive's Star).
Buckinghamshire.—' Lt.Colonel Ellis served in the Boer war of 1881 with the Inniskilling Dragoons.

battle of Tel el-'Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star)_.

Cheshire.— 1 Captain Wyndham served in the expedition to the Soudan in 1885 with the 1st Battalion of the
Coldstream Guards, and was present in the engagement atHasheen, at that near Tofrek on the 24th March, and
at the destruction of Temai (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
Denbigh. — ' Colonel Howard served in the Zulu war in 1879 (Medal with Clasp).
Royal 1st Devon. — 1 Captain J. G E. Templer served with the 2nd Battalion Highland Light Infantry in the
Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
Gloucestershire. — * Major Calvert served with the 7th Dragoon Guards in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was
present in the engagement at Mahsama, in the action at Kassasin on the 28th August, and at the battle of Tel-
el-Kebir and the capture of Cairo (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
3 Major Wyndham Quin served with the Inniskilling Dragoons in the Boer war of 1881.

Herts.— 2 Sir George Arthur served in the Egyptian war of 1882 with the iqth Hussars, and acted as Orderly
Officer to Brigadier General Wilkinson, and was present at the action at Kassasin. on the 9th September and
at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Nile Expedition in 1885
as Staff Captain (Clasp).
West Keht. — x Sir P. D. Maclean served in the Eastern campaign in 1854-5;, an< ^ was present at the affair of
BulL'anak and at the battle of the Alma (Medal aith two Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
Leicestershire. — ' Colonel Baillie, when a Lieutenant in the Royal Hor3e Guards, served in the Eastern cam-
paign in 1855 as Aide de Camp to Lord Rokeby, Commanding the Brigade of Guards, and was present at the
siece of Sebastopol, until he was invalided in August (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
Middlesex. — l Captain Mitford served with the 8th Hussars in the Afghan war in 1879-80 (Medal).
Pembioke — < Major Cropper served in the Zulu war in 1879 as Orderly Officer to Sir Evelyn Wood, and was
present in the entracrement at Olundi (mentioned in despatches, Medal with Clasp). Served in the Boer war of
1881 as Orderly Officer to Sir Evelyn Wood (mentioned in despatches). [See also Civil Decorations for Gallantry,

Shropshire. — i Colonel Wingfield served in the Eastern campaign with the 71st Highland Light Infantry from
December 1854 to ? ovember 1855, and was present at the siege of Sebastopol and at the capture of Kertch and
Yenikale (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
3 Captain Childe served in the Egyptian war of 1882 and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with

present in the engagement at Tel-el-Mahuta and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with < Hasp, and Khedive's Star) .

Warwickshire.— 1 Major Beech served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with the 2nd Life Guards detachment

Star).
Wiltshire. — 1 Major Miles 'served with the 3rd Battalion 60th Rifles in the Zuluwarfrom April to September
1879 (Medal with Clasp). Also served in the Boer war in 1881. Served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with
the Mounted Infantry Camel Corps, and was present in the actions at Abu Klea and Gubat— wounded (Medal
with two Clasps, and Khedive's Star).
West York. — 1 Lt.Colonel Greenwood served with the 10th Hussars in the Afghan war in 1878-79, and was pre-
sent at the attack and capture of Ali Musjid (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Soudan Expedition in 1884 with
the roth Hussars, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temai (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's
