1 The Rev. D. Arthur served in the Egyptian war of 1882 attached to the ist Battalion of the Cameron High-
landers, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star); also served with the
Nile Expedition in 1884-85 (Clasp).
2 The Revs. J. A. Crozier, D. Somerville, and H. N. Wheeler served with'the Army in the Crimea, and have re-
ceived the Crimean and Turkish Medals.
3 The Rev. P. Beaton served in the New Zealand war in 1S63-66, and was present in the engagemeut at Orakau
(Medal).
4 The Bev. R. C. Browne served in the Ashanti campaign under Sir Garnet Wolseley (Medal).
5 The Rev. C. J. Coar served in the Zulu war of 1879. and was present in the engagement at Uluudi (mentioned
in despatches, promoted Chaplain ist Class, and Medal with Clasp).
6 The Bev. J. A. W. Collins served with the field force in the Waikato during the New Zealand war in 1864-65,
and was present at the investment and capture of Orakau (thanked in brigade orders). Also served with the field
fsree under Ma.ior General Chute in the Wanganui-Taranaki campaign in i860, including the Bush march to
Taranaki, and was present at the assault and capture of Otapawa and Waikowkou Pahs, and the destruction of
Keleraarai and other places (mentioned in despatches, Medal).
" The Rev. M. Crooke served in the Eastern campaign in 1854-55, and was present at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal
-with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
a The Rev. G. N. Godwin served in the operations near Suakin in December 1888 including the engagement at
Gemaizah (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
10 The Rev. B. Buleatt served in the Crimea from Nov. 185410 the end of the war, with the 4th Division and Light
Cavalry Brigade (Medal, and Turkish Medal). Was senior Chaplain to the China Expedition in 1857, and was
present at the capture of Canton (mentioned in despatches). Also at the assault of Shektsing in Jan. 1859, and
attack on the Takoo Forts on 25th June 1859, and was there dangerously wounded in the groin while attending
the wounded on the mud bunks (Medal with Clasp).
11 The Rev. J. Mactaggart served in the Zulu war in 1879 (Medal). Served in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was
present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star); also served with the Soudan Ex-
pedition under Sir Gerald Graham in 1884, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temai (two
Clasps). Served with the Nile Expedition in 1S84-85, and was present at the action of Kirbekan (mentioned In
•despatches, promoted Chaplain of the 3rd Class, two Clasps).
12 The Rev. R. S. Patlerson was in Turkey in the Imperial Ottoman service during the war in the East. Served
as a Lieutenant in the Canadian Volunteer Rifles at the time of the Trent affair, and also in the first Fenian raid.
Accompanied, as Chaplain, the Red River expeditionary force of 1870 under Sir Garnet Wolseley to Fort Garry.
Proceeded to the Gold Coast in September 1873, and served there until the capture of Coomassie (Medal).
13 The Rev. C. A. Solbe served in the Egyptian war of 1882 (Medal, and Khedive's Star).
14 The Rev. G. C. Williams served with the Baltic Expedition in 1854 (Medal).
