704 -Retired or Half Pay. — War Services of the Commissariat and Transport Staff
(mentioned in despatches, CB., and Medal with Clasp). Served in the Egyptian war of 1882 as Senior Commissariat
Officer, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (mentioned in despatches, KCB., Medal with Clasp, 2nd Class
of the Medjidie, and Khedive's Star).
7 Colonel F. C. Blunt served in the expedition to the Soudan under Sir Gerald Graham in 1884 (Medal, and
Khedive's Star).
8 Mr. Downes served in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 (Medal with Clasp for Sebastopol) , and was specially
mentioned in general orders for services rendered with the Turkish Contingent (Turkish Medal). Served with the
China Expeditionary Force in 1857-59, and was promoted for this service; present at the attack and capture of
Canton (Medal with Clasp).
3 Colonel R. C. Healy served in the Ashanti war in 1873-74 under Sir Garnet Wolseley (Medal). Served in the
Zulu war in 1879 (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Egyptian war of 1882 (Medal, and Khedive's Star).
11 Colonel J. W. Murray served with the Heavy Cavalry at the battles of Balaklava and Inkerman. and siege of
Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
13 Colonel A. C. Rvland served in the Crimea, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and
Turkish Medal).
14 Colonel H. J. Wilkinson served in the Crimea from 27th Nov. 1854, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol,
and assault on the Cemetery on the 18th June (Medal with Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
10 Colonel Brereton served in the Soudan campaign in 1885 (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
18 Colonel J. Johnston served in the China war in 1862, including the expedition against the Taeping rebels
(Medall. Served in the operations in the Malay Peninsula in 1875-76 (Medal with Clasp).
19 Captain Milne served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol in 1855 (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
20 Colonel C. D. O'Connor served with Detachments of i»t, 2nd, and 3rd West India Regiments that proceeded
from Gambia in October 1854 t0 trie assistance of the troops besieged in Christianborg Castle, Gold Coast, and
with the expedition against the Kings and Chiefs of the Moirah country, Western Africa, in November 1854.
Accompanied Sir Garnet Wolseley to the Gold Coast in September 1873. Raised natives at Cape Palmas for the
Transport Service, and served throughout the Ashanti war of 1873-74 (mentioned in despatches, promoted Assistant
Controller, Medal) .
21 Mr. G. W. Ottley served in the operations in the Malay Peninsula in 1875-76 (Medal with Clasp).
23 Mr. Ramsey served in the Royal Artillery throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the affairs
of Bulganac and M'Kenzie's Farm, battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and
repulse ot the sortie on 26th October, and expedition to Kinbourn (Medal with four Clasps, and Turkish Medal).

23 Colonel J. S. Young served in the Abyssinian war in 1867-68 (promoted Deputy Purveyor, Medal). Daring
the Franco-German war in 1870-71 he was Joint Commissioner at the Head Quarters of the German Army for the
National Society for Aid to the Sick and Wounded in War, and at the conclusion o' the armistice he took'part in
the relief of Paris (German War Medal, French Bronze Cross, and Silver Medal of the Order of St. John of Jeru-
salem in Anglia for saving life). During the Russo-Turkish war of 1S77-78 he again acted as Chief Commissioner
for the National Society for Aid to the Sick and Wounded. He also served in the Zulu war in 1879 (Medal).
26 Captain G. T. Colebrook served in the Egyptian war of 1882 (Medal, and Khedive's Star).
27 Major J. J. Crooks served throughout the Ashanti war of 1873-4 (Medal).
K Lieut. W Coilett served in the Abyssinian war of 1867-68 (Medal). Served in the Egyptian war of 1882

10 Quarter Master Hickie served in the New Zealand war in 1S63-64, and was present in the engagement at
Orakau (Medal). Served in the operations against Sekukuni in 1879, including the capture of the stronghold
(Medal with Clasp! 1 . Served in the Boer war of 18S1. Served in the Egyptian war of 1882 (Medal, and Khedive's
Star). Served with the expedition to the Soudan under Sir Gerald Graham in 1884, and was present in the
engagements at El Teb and Temai (mentioned in despatches, promoted Quarter Master in the Commissariat
and Transport Staff, two Clasps); also served with the Nile Expedition in 1884-85, including the engegement at
Abu Klea Wells (Clasp).
31 Major C. M'Garry served in the Eastern campaign in 1854-55 (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
