pedition to the Soudan in 1884, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temai (mentioned in despatches,
two Clasps and Medal for Distinguished Conduct in the Field) ; also served with the Nile Expedition in 1884-85
(Clasp).
51 Captain "W. Fa;er served with the 2nd Battalion Manchester Regiment throughout the Egyptian war of 1S02
(Medal, and Khedive's Stark
52 Captain W. T. Fenn served in the operations near Suakin in December 1888 including the engagement at
Gemaizah (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
53 Captain J. Fielding served in the Egyptian war of 1SS2, and was present in the engagement at Tel-el-Matuha,
the capture of Mahsama, the action at Kassasin (28th August), the battle of Tel-el-Kebir, and the occupation of

53 t Captain Wm. Fitzfatrick served in the Zulu war in 1879, and was present in the engagement at Gingindh-
lovu and at the relief of Kkowe (Medal with Clasp).

25 Captain T. Ford served throughout the Egyptian war of 1882 with the 1st Battalion of the Berkshire
Regiment, and was present, at the surrender of kafr Dowar (Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served throughout
the campaign in the Eastern Soudan in 1885 with the 1st Battalion of the Berkshire Regiment, and was present
in the engagements at Hasheen and the Tofrek zereba and the subsequent advance to and burning of Temai,
afterwards served as TransDort Officer to the Battalion (mentioned in despatches, honorary rank of Captain, t vq
Clasps) ; also served with the Egyptian Frontier Field Force in i5Ss-86, including the engagement at Giniss.
5 ^ Captain G. Forde served at Mooltan daring the Indian Mutiny in 1858 (Medal).
57 Major J. Forsdyke served in the Crimean campaign from June 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol
and the battle of the Tchernava, and was present at the action near Eupatoria while attached to the Light Cavalry
Brigade (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
w Captain G. Fox served with the 94 th Regiment in the Zulu war of 1879, and was present in the engagement
at TJlundi, and in the subsequent operations against Sekukuni, including the storming of the stronghold (Medal
with Clasp). Sei-ved in the Boer war of 18S0-81, and was present with the 94th Regiment in the engagement at
Bronkhorst Sprnit — severely wounded (mentioned in despatches).
62 Quarter Master G. French served in the Afghan war of 1878-80, and was present in the engagements at Ahmed
Kheyl and Urzoo near Ghuznee ; accompanied Sir Frederick Roberts in tho march to Candahar, and was present at
the battle of Candahar (Medal with two Clasps, and Bronze Decoration). Served with the Natal Field Force in the
Boer war in 1881.
c * Captain John Gage served with the 1st Battalion 20th Foot in the Indian Mutiny campaign from November
1858 to the end of the campaign, and was present at the subsequent operations in Oude, includiag the affair of
the Fort of Musjeedia (Medal).
65 Cay. tain F. Gardiner served in the New Zealand war in 1863-66, including the engagements at Nukumam
and Kakaramea and the Wanganui campaign (Medal).
06 Captain A. J. Garrard served in the Afghan war in 1878-79, and was present at the capture of AH Musjid

at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served in South Afncan war in 1899-1902,
taking part in operations in Orange Free State Feb. to May 1900; in the Transvaal May to June 1900, July to Oct.
1900, and Nov. 1900: and in Cape Colony in 1900. being present at the actions of Belmont, Enslir., Modder River,
Magersfontein. Poplar Grove, Driefontein, Vet River, Zand River, Johannesburg, Pretoria, DiamondBill, Belfast,
and Koniati Poort (mentioned in despatches, Hon. rank of Captain, Medal with six Clasps, King's Medal with
uvo Clasps).
;5 Captain Guernsey served with the 45th Regiment in the Kaffir war of 1846-47, and in the field against the enemy
in the Orange River Sovereignty between 24th Dec. 1850 and 6th Feb. 1853 (Medal). Served in the Abyssinian
i-i./mpaign in 1868 and was present at the storming and capture of Magdala (Medal) .
™ Major Gunn served in the Indian Mutiny campaign in 1858 (Medal).
77 Captain T. W. Gunlon served in the Egyptian war of 1882 with the 2nd Battalion of the Grenadier Guards,
and was present in the engagement at Tel-el-Mahuta and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and

83 Captain Harper sei ved in the Ashanti war from 6th July 1873 until invalided on 9th January 1874 (Medal).

65 Major Hart-M'Haig served with the 44th Regiment throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including
the battles cf Alma and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol, attack and occupation of the Cemetery on the
18th June (Medal with three Clasps, Medal for Distinguished Service in the Field, and Turkish Medal). Served
also the campaign of i860 in the north of China, including the action of Sinho, assault and capture of the North
Taku Forts (Medal with Clasp).
M Captain W. Harve.y served in the Abyssinian war in 1867-68 (Medal).
87 Major J. Hawkins served in the Punjaub campaign in 1848-49, and was present at the battles of Sadoolapore,
Chillianwallah, and Goojerat (Medal with two Clasps). Served in the Afghan war in 1879-80 with the Koorum
Division of the Cabul Field Force, and took part with the Zaimusht Expedition (Medal).
88 Captain H. T. Hayles served with the Rifle Brigade in the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58, and was present at the
siege and capture of Lucknow, battle - of Nawabgunge, and siege of Burwah (Medal with Clasps).
' 88 tCaptain G.Hedingham served in the Hazara campaign in 1888 with the 2nd Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment
(Medal with Clasp).
89 Captain J. A. Hefferon served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 with the 8th Hussars, including the recon-
naissance to Silistria, battles of Alma, Balaklava, Inkerman, and the Tchernaya, affairs of Bulganac and
M'Kenzie's Farm, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with four Clasps, and Turkish Medai) ; also served in
the Indian campaign of 1858-59, and was present at the capture of Kotah, re-occupation of Chandaree, battle of
Kota-ke-Serai, and capture of Gwalior (Medal with Clasp for Central India) . Served with the 8th Hussars in the
Afghan war in 1879-80 (Medal). Has also the Medal for Long and Meritorious Service.
