in 1897-98 with the Tirah Expeditionary Force in command of the 2nd Battalion Derbyshire Regiment, and was
present at the storming of the Dargai Heights, capture of the Sampagha and Arhanga Passes, and in the operations
in the Khanki, Mastura, Waran and Bazar Valleys (mentioned in despatches, Medal with two Clasps).
245 Lt. Colonel W. Moore served with the 80th Regt. in the operations against Sekukuni in 1878 and throughout
the Zulu war of 1879, part of the time as District Adjutant of the Transvaal (Medal with Clasp). Served with the
1st Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present in the reconnaissance in
force from Alexandria on the 5th August (Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Nile Expedition in 1884—85

the Peiwar Kotal — where he commanded No. 1 Punjab Mountain Battery after the death of the commanding officer
at the beginning of the action — in the expedition to the Khost Valley, in the engagement at Mattoon, and with the
Zaimusht Expedition including the assault of Zawa (mentioned in despatches, Medal with Clasp).
259 Lt.Colonel W. H. Allen servea throughout the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at the surrender of Kafr
Dowar and Damietta (Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served in the operations In Zululand in 1888.

Chin-Lushai Expeditionary Force in 1889-90 in the Burmah Column (Medal with Clasp).
