stronghold (Medal with Clasp).
408 Major S. T. Willis served with the 1st Royals in the Crimea from the 9th December 1854, including the siege
and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).'
415 Major Winniett served .with the 4th Regiment in the Crimean campaign from April to September 1855,
including the siege of Sebastopol and assault of the Redan on the 18th June (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
Cofnmanded a Company of the 24th Regiment in a flying column under Brigadier General Chamberlain from
Ferozepore in pursuit of the rebel chief Tantia Topee in February and March 18^9.
