8 Lit.Colonel Davidson served with the Lushai Expedition in 1889 as Transport Officer. Served with the
Chin- Lushai Expedition in 1885-90 as Transport Officer (Medal with Clasp).
9 Lt.Colonel Evans-Lombe served in the South African war with the 2nd Battalion Leinster Regiment, aid
took part in the operations in North East Orange River Colony, Feb. and March 1902.
10 Major White served in the South African war in 1899-1902, and took part in the operations in the Orange
Free State in May 1900; the operations in the Orange River Colony, May to 29th Nov. 1900, including the
action at Wittebergen ; the operations in the Transvaal, Oct. 1900 ; in Cape Colony, May 1900 ; in the Transvaal,
March and April 1901, and July 1901 ; in Orange River Colony, 30th Nov. 1900 to March 1901, and April, 1901 to
31st May 1902 (mentioned in despatches, L>SO., Medal with three C!a*ps, King's Medal with two Clasps).
20 Major Canning served in the Egyptian war in 1882 (Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served in the expedition to
the Soudan in 1884, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temai (two Clasps); also served in the
Soudan campaign in 1885 (Clasp).
22 Major Rooke served in the South African war with the 2nd Battalion Leinster Regiment, and took part
in the operations in Notth East Orange River Cjlony, Feb. and March 1902.
23 Major Laughlin served in the operations in the Sjudan in i338 including the engagement at Gemaizah
(Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
S2 Captain Mather served in the South African war with the 2nd Battalion Leinster Regiment, and took part in
the operations of the 8th Brigade from May, 1900, to Nov. 1901, including the ac.nn at Slap Krantz, and took part
in the operations in North East Orange River Colony, Feb. and March 1902.
33 Captain Whitton served as Adjutant of the 2nd Battalion Leinster Regiment in the South African war, and
to^k part in the operations in the North East of Orange River Colony in t'eb. and March 1902.
3o Captain Fox served in the South African war with the 2nd Battalion Leinster Regiment, and took part in the
operations in North East Orange River Colony, Feb. and March 1902.
