and fall of Sebastopol, and attacks on the 18th June and 8th September (Medal with Clasp, Brevet of Major, stl

298 Major R. L. Williams served with the 1st Royals in the Crimea from the 29th Aug. 1855, including the siegi
and fall of Sebastopol, and was severely wounded on the 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal)
Served the campaign of 1868 in China as D.A.Q.M.Gen., including the taking of Sinho and Tangku, actions of the i8tl
and 21st September, occupation of Tientsin, and surrender of Pekin (Brevet of Major, Medal with two Clasps).
302 Major John Wilson served with the 42nd Highlanders in the Crimean campaign of 1834-55, including the
battle of Balaklava, expedition to Kertch and Yenikale, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with two Clasps, stt j
Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Served also the campaign of 1857-58 against the mutineers in India, ]
including the actions at Cawnpore (6th Dec. 1857), Seraighat.andKudygunge, siege and fall of Lucknow and assauli 1
of the Martiniere and Banks' Bungalow, attack on the Fort of Rooyah, action at Allygunge, attack and capture ol '
Bareilly (Medal with Clasp).
303 Major G. Windham served with the Rifle Brigade in the Eastern campaign, including the battles of Alma and ;
Balaklava, and siege of Sebastopol until April 1855 (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Served alsc 1
during the Indian campaign of 1857-58, including the action of Cawnpore, siege and capture of Lucknow, battle ol
Nawabgunge, and taking of Fort Oomerea (Medal with Clasp).
305 Major J. J. Wood served with the 18th Royal Irish in the Burmese war of 1852 (Medal with Clasp for Pegu). '
Served with the 82nd Regiment in the Crimea from the 2nd September 1855, including the siege and fall of Seuatf- |
topol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
i0 ~ Major W. W. Worswick served with an expeditionary force against the Indians of Yucatan in April and May
1861. Also in suppression of the disturbance in the Northern district.
30S Major Alex. Wrightserved in the Abyssinian campaign in 1S68, and was present at the storming and capture
of Magdala (Medal).
309 Colonel W. A. Wynter served with the 33rd Regiment throughout'the Abyssinian campaign of 1867-68, and
was present at the storming and capture of Magdala (Medal). Served in the Ashanti war, and was present at
the capture of Adubiassie (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Afghan war in 1879-80, and was present in the
engagement at Charasiah on the 6th October 1879, and in the operations round Cabul in December 1S79, including
the investment of Sherpore (mentioned in despatches) ; accompanied Sir Frederick Roberts in the march to-
Candahar, and was present at the battle of Candahar (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Major, Medal with
three Clasps, and Bronze Decoration).
