521 Lt.Colonel G. F. White served with the 51st Light Infantry in the Jowaki campaign in 1877 (Medal with
Clasp). Served with the 51st Light Infantry in the Afghan war in 1879-80 (Medal). Served in the Burmese Ex-
pedition from 1886 till the close of 1887 with the 1st Battalion of the Yorkshire Light Infantry, for four months in
command of it (two Clasps).
522 Lt.Colonel R. F. Willoughby served with the 21st Fusiliers in the Zulu war of 1879. and afterwards in the
operations against Sekukuni, and at the storming of the stronghold — slightly wounded (Medal with Clasp).

service (Medal with Clasp). Served in the expedition to the Soudan in 1885 with the 1st Battalion Shropshire Light

523 Lt.Colonel L. W. Wilmer served with the 90th Light Infantry in the Indian campaign of 1857-58, including
the defence of the Alumbagh, relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde, defence of the Alumbagh under Outram, siege
and capture of Lucknow, and subsequent operations iu Oude (Medal with two Clasps, and a year's service).

Order of the Dragon, and 2nd Class of the Order of the Precious Star).
523 Lt.Colonel J. A. Woods served in suppression of the mutiny in Bengal in 1857-58, and was present at the
action of Soorajpore, relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde, including storming of the Secundrabagh, Shah Nujiir, and
32nd Mess House, occupation of the Alumbagh under Outram, capture of Lucknow, campaign of 1858 in Oude
with passage of the Goomtee, and several minor affairs (Medal with two Clasps, and a year's service for
Lucknow) .

landers, and was present in the engagements at El Teb and Temai (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served

530 Lt.Colonel H. O. P. Wright served in South African war in 1890-1900 as Commandant of Prisoners of War
at St. Helena (uromoted Lt.Colonel in Reserve).
531 Lt.Colonel C. J. Whitaker served in the Afghan war in 1880 as Superintendent of .toy Signalling with the
Koorum Field Force (Medal).
532 Lt.Colonel C. B. Wilkieson served in the Soudan campaign in 1885 in command of the Madras Sappers and
Miners, and was present in the engagements at Hasheen and the Tofrek zereba — wounded (mentioned in despatches,
Brevet of Major, Medal with two Clasps, and Khedive's Star). Served with the Burmese Expedition in 1885-86 as
Adjutant of Royal Engineers (mentioned in despatches, Medal with Clasp). Served in the campaign on the North
West Frontier of India under Sir William Lockhart in 1897-98 with the Tirah Expeditionary Forceas Commanding
Royal Engineer 2nd Division (Medal with two Clasps).
